Great seed for Cardinals!
This seed works very well. It primarily attracts cardinals to our feeder, which was the reason for our purchase as the seed we tried before would only attract smaller birds, like sparrows. The color and size are appropriate for this type of seed. We hang our feeder off our deck so cleanliness is not an issue for us when we use this seed. Also, there were no weird smells or odors in the bag we received. Overall, we would definitely recommend this seed to people wanting to attract cardinals or similar birds that eat this type of seed.

A few ounces short, but my birds love them.
I weighed this upon receipt (I just happen to have postal scales handy) and it weighed less than 5lb in the amazon shipping box. the bag itself was about 6oz short of 5lbs. Great price and the birds love sunflower seeds... this could have been a one off. I will likely buy again. It does have some sunflower debris in it (some stems and leaves), but this makes me think that it is minimally processed which I like.
