Awesome kit. Running custom built Flutter app on it to monitor server metrics. 8gb memory is great, hardly uses any. Nice having the 128g storage. Highly recommend. Debated getting a RPi 4B over the 5 at first, but decided more RAM the better. Doesn't get hot at all. Hooked up to a 10.1 screen with stand. 3D printed a bracket for it to adapt to screen.Not too bad for price, if you're into microcontrollers, you know it gets addicting. Definitely a fast little machine. Transfered folder between my RPi 3B+ using scp, no issues. Easy to setup. Runs and builds the Flutter apps no problem either. I run VS Code on the machine. Still have 118gb left for storage.

I got this CanaKit Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit PRO (Turbine Black, 128GB, 8GB RAM) during a Lightning Deal, and I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase. Everything I needed was included, and buying the components separately would’ve definitely cost more.The full-size heatsink and active cooling fan were essential for my setup, especially since I mounted the Raspberry Pi inside a Wireway enclosure. This kit made it easy to get everything in place without worrying about overheating. Installation was straightforward and hassle-free.I used this kit for a solar system monitoring project using Solar Assistant, both for remote access and Kiosk mode on a touchscreen monitor adapted for the Raspberry Pi 5. Everything worked perfectly, and the project was a success.

These starter kits are a pretty nice way to get going with the Pi offerings.For this particular build, we added a Raspberry Pi M.2 Hat card and a Gen 4 256GB MVME drive. We also added the CanaKit case extension, Raspberry Pi Active Cooler, and a copper M.2 Heatsink so the Hat card would fit inside the case without any heat issues.The unit was initially tested with a factory Pi image but has been running a full Ubuntu Desktop install ever since. It is currently running 25.04 without any issues. The machine is primarily used for light programming, CAD work and testing.The performance is actually pretty good considering how much we've been abusing it with heavy loads when testing. This build does have issues running Windows 10 and 11. We tried both versions just for fun but didn't spend much time messing around with them due to their ongoing issues.

This kit is good and I got it on sale. It does exactly what I want it to and was easy to set up and use. I could do without the extra cables. Perhaps they could offer customized kits with the option to remove components that a lot of people really don't need/want.

Electronics Works as promised but the case is flimsy and the cover doesn't firmly click, it opens easily

This is a great kit for any Raspberry Pi project. I used mine for a retro gaming emulation station and it took a total of like 30 minutes to get it all set up and running. The fan is super quiet and seems to keep the electronics cool. Definitely will buy again for my next project.

I'm using mine for a media server. It is great for Jellyfin server. The specs on this generation are awesome too! Overall, this is a great and substantial product for all ages. The Raspberry Pi imager app is a beautiful way to load the Debian OS as well as many other options. There are internet sites for projects that anyone can use to install a wide variety of software for many different purposes. They are so well written and easy to perform the very technical steps required to get going pretty darned quick. This is perfect for kids hobby as well as industrial applications. If you have a tiny amount of experience with Linux and command-line stuff is will pay off in making it even easier to have fun. And it is fun! It helps if yo're a bit of a nerd and like computers and electronics.

Best kit for raspberry pi. It's my second canakit. Excellent cost benefits, good memory size, the cooler is excellent and silent. The hdmi cables have a good size. Really appreciate and recommend it.
