If you missed Percy's voice after finishing the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, this is the next best thing. While you can watch the Disney Plus show, reading allows you to immerse yourself in Percy's thoughts and feelings, which is always entertaining. My 11-year-old son, who has read all seven books, is in awe of the author and this series. It's one of his favorite reads so far. Definitely a great read for kids, teens and adults that are into mythology.

This book was a nice and short read. It's not even 300 pages long, and it's phrased in a way that makes it seem like it's a lot shorter than it actually is. One thing that caught me really off guard was the themes throughout the book. A good amount of this book is focused on letting go of the past and allowing yourself to move on to better things, which was a lot more mature than I was expecting going into this book. Gale and Hecuba were tragic, and I had to pause a few times when reading through their sections. Immediately following those up with Percy's improv therapy sessions was a good choice, and I really appreciated their inclusion. I wasn't really a fan of the farting and pee humor, but that is age appropriate with the audience the book is aimed at so that doesn't make it lose any points.

Love Percy Jackson! Both my kids loved them and re read and re read them.

The books were packed really well but it is larger than the box set of 5 I have.

i was scared this was gonna be a lame sequel of an amazing saga but rick actually did a great job this time too. i wouldn’t have recognized this wasn’t written with the others if i hadn’t known beforehand. the narrator is still percy and writes in the same way, he’s only more insightful in some parts which shows his growth as a character.
