This is very easy to install, I had one before and that's why I decided to get another one. I just had to get shorter screws, I didn't want to try and cut the ones they come with, it just depends on how thick your door is.

The instructions weren’t very clear. But I have installed Doggy doors before, so I kind of knew more or less how it would go.. It’s an OK Doggy door for the price.

My old dog door fit perfectly like a glove and never jammed or got stuck. I only got this because I got a bigger dog and needed a bigger door. This was cheap, but not cheap enough. First of all it's difficult to align both sides properly unlike most half-decent dog door that have two halves that are foolproof and fit together like a glove and lock together with a tounge and grove like design. This one is not like that, the two halves do not lock together, and even if you alight both sides in perfect harmony, the door is prone to getting stuck or jammed. Not only that, the instructions were near useless and don't even tell you what size socket you need for the nut (it's an 8mm, at least that was the size that fit the best). And the hole that the nut goes into is too small for an 8mm socket, or any socket large enough for the nut to fit into, as I have shown in a picture. As a result, it's impossible to tighten the nuts. The only way to do it is to use washers, which are not provided. Luckily I had some extras. And the bolts are too long for most doors of average thickness, so if you want them flush, you need a hacksaw. They're not even the kind that have breakable ends in case you need to shorten them.Overall, I'd give zero stars if I could, and the only reason I haven't returned it yet is because I've already cut the hole in my door and need something there in the meantime.

The door works ok, but it is different than a previous brand I have used for years. Instead of a soft plastic flap, this has a hard plastic swinging flap. One of our dogs tries to avoid using it and barks at the regular door for help coming in. Second, I am sorry to say it was much more difficult to install than any of the other three I have installed over the years. Part of the problem is that I did not find any instructions in the box. Also, the solid plastic slide in piece used to lock the door to keep the dog from using it is easy enough to slide in but very difficult to remove. Now that we have used it for some time, the door squeeks as it swings and with many severe thunderstorms the last few months have caused it to stick slightly open allowing wind and some rain to get in.

Decent doggie door. The bolts are way too long for most doors, but that could come in handy if you have a thicker door. The flap and magnet seem to function just fine. The felt "weather strip" is held in place by very weak adhesive and fell off in no time. These is nothing on the inside of the frame, so if you have a hollow door, you will be able to see right down into the inside of the door with this installed. The lock panel is flimsy and clumsy to install/uninstall and feel like it will break easily. Not very good considering this is for a large dog and they tend to be pretty strong. All-in-all it works, but there are much better options out there for your money.
