I live in Florida. I have a central air unit that only seems to blow cold when the sun isn't out. This is my second central air unit and it doesnt seem to make a difference so I have gone to trying supplement units. My Livingroom is slightly under 300 sq ft. On one side is the front door and large window taking up the whole wall and on the other side is a wall of sliding glass doors with two dog doors. My living room is terribly hot everyday after 2 until 6pm. I tried a few air conditioners. First I got a Shinco 10,000 BTU / 8000 (great units did act more like a 10 than an 8) but wasn't doing the job in this living room. I read that you have to go up on BTUs if you have a lot of windows or sliding doors. So I got a 1600BTU (unfortunately I couldn't find a Shinco over 1200BTUs.) The BLATACY 16000 BTU didn't even keep the room as cold as the 10,000/8000 Shinco. Then I tired this 14000/ 12000. I am very impressed. Not only is it helping the central AC cool the whole house but it shuts off in mid day reaching the desired temp. My TV and couch are on the opposite side of the living room from the unit and I can feel the cold air all the way over where I sit. I waited a week before this review. The kit that came with the BLATACY was cheap. flimsy and kept falling apart. The Shinco had a nice quality kit and this was was the better of the three. I have no idea how long it will last or how much it will cost to run but it's definitely the best one I have had.

Did not realize the hose length as it is not mentioned is the description. When I received the item and tried to place the hose into the window, it was a little short. I called the company and they were very responsive and provided an extender and it works great! The air conditioner spits out cold air, keeps our living room and kitchen cool and we have had a few 95 to 100 degree humid days! I have never heard of the brand before and was hesitant but there were alot of positive reviews compared to other known brands so I took a flyer. Very happy with this air conditioner! And it's not very loud. Highly recommend and great customer service!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was concerned about it's performance do to the price. I'm glad I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. I live in a converted garage. So there is nothing insulation my ceiling from the out side. Just drywall, plywood,tar shingles. Where I live the summer gets brutal,110+°average. in side with no cooling unit can reach120°. Portable swamp cooler after 100° dose nothing but make the air humid as hell. But with this ac unit I can get the room we spend most our time in down to 85°. Had to do some mods like build a pedestal to raise it high enough so that the drain hose worked properly also had to drill a hole in window seal for hose to run out of other than that it has made suffering because of the heat alot more bearable. So far I love this purchase.highly recommend.

Purchased at the end of April 2025. So far it is an excellent unit. Quiet enough and really cools down the room. Easy set up. Easy to move around on it’s wheels. It has a drainage hose, not self-evaporating, so i have it raised on a heavy old wooden wine case-wine had long since been enjoyed. Hose out the window for drainage. So i’m very pleased. Fingers crossed it works well for several years.

What a game changer! This GEM worked perfectly right out of the box. It made my bedroom super chilly within just minutes and i can not believe how quiet it is. I couldn't be happier and an so glad I made this purchase. I was a little leary because it is a "no name" air conditioner but this is an awesome machine. If you're "worried" or "On the fence" about buying it.... DO IT! You won't be disappointed!! Aawwweee!!!

This AC was so simple to setup that I hardly had to do anything. It does have some issues but the cooling power this thing has is top notch. The issues that I have had are minor and nothing worth mentioning except for the built in thermostat does not show the current room temperature. If your Amazon delivery person is a complete ass like mine and delivers your AC standing upside-down, you may have to jostle it a bit before it works properly but when it does get your blankets ready and be prepared for winter in July. If you want the AC to run continuously, press the strong man button on your remote otherwise the AC will run in auto without actually having to put it in auto.
