A simple tool that saves the time, effort and mess involved in replacing an electrical back box just because the threads are poor. This tool easily cuts the thread again and hey presto, box is all good again

Unless you are an electrician or a plasterer you are unlikely to use this tool more than once in a blue moon but when you do need it it does the job perfectly.

I replaced some sockets and for 3 of them, the socket screw went in so far then wouldn't budge.I purchased this more in hope than expectation. What a pleasant surprise! Very quickly the lugs were rethreaded and I was able to fit my sockets.A great tool.

Stripped a thread on a socket box and really didn't fancy digging the box out of the wall and ruining the plaster. I drilled through the stripped screw hole and through the back of the box then used this to thread the new hole. Popped a longer screw in ( available from Amazon) and job done. Definitely recommended.
