Very good head unit
I bought a single din JVC in 2010 when my CD player konked out on my 2000 Tacoma's stock stereo. Sounded great but was a little hard to use and was before Bluetooth was on everything. I was shopping for a bluetooth/CD player and my wife bought me a fancy looking LCD from Pyle for my birthday, looked cool but never sounded very good. The CD functionality quit on me a couple months back and I decided I wanted to go back to a JVC. I issed the sound, control, and most importantly the sound KNOB. The Pyle had volume buttons that were hard to find while driving. After some research and deciding that an HD LCD was not much use to me I decided to go with the KW-R930BTS. I have to say I am not disappointed. Though it doesn't look as modern, it functions extremely well. Far better than the last. Sounds clear, fairly easy to navigate, lots of EQ options and great controls for my Subwoofer. Really easy to dial it in just right. I made a call through the bluetooth setup and it was easy to hear and be heard. I like the remote app. I havent quite figured out how this integrates with spotify, pandora etc but I just access them from my phone as usual and play with bluetooth. I do wish it had HD radio like my old unit but that seems to be a technology that has not really caught on. I also wish it came with a remote. While not perfect, I am giving it 5 stars all around. 4 would be too low, quite happy with this one!

I'm impressed
I was able to install this stereo in my 2002 Ford Explorer in only a couple hours. I had no trouble matching up the proper wires using the adapter harness for my vehicle. I just wish that JVC pre-cut the ends of the wires so I didn't have to strip the ends myself. I am very impressed with the stereo sound quality. I really like all the bass/treble and equalizer options. There is even a loudness setting which really boosts the volume. I was able to easily pair my Samsung Galaxy phone using bluetooth, although the sound quality isn't as good over bluetooth. I also was able to play music from my phone with the USB cable and the sound quality is better that way. This receiver has plenty of power and can drive high quality speakers with ease. I wasn't expecting it to sound so good. Changing the colors of the LEDs on the radio I found a bit confusing and haven't really changed them yet. I also wish there were more than 6 pre-set radio station buttons. I wish there was an FM-2 or something so I could program 12 total FM stations. Overall, I feel I got a great value from this stereo and recommend it to anyone looking for a less expensive unit without sacrificing performance.

Good quality and customization for the price
My original/stock double din stereo died, so I was in need of a replacement. I wanted something affordable that had bluetooth, aux, and USB capabilities. Install was pretty standard and simple, but that really comes down to your vehicle. If your vehicle is older like mine (2000 Toyota Avalon) then you'll most likely need to purchase the proper wiring harness/adapter that matches the year, make, and model of your vehicle. In addition, you'll also want an aftermarket face plate to fill in the gap/space surrounding the stereo so that it appears flush. Lots of customization is available for the colors of the interface and sound options with EQ, bass, sub, speaker size and position, etc... The stereo also has additional RCA-like ports on the back to connect an amplifier/sub if you're running a more advanced aftermarket type of setup. You can't really go wrong for the price point. This is a simple option that sounds good, has a variety of inputs, and still offers a solid amount of customization for both visuals and audio without breaking the bank.

Terrible.
This radio was installed 14 months ago and it's already failing. The bluetooth takes almost 2 minutes to connect to any phone. While driving the radio will decide the user-selected light color is something else. The USB port on the front will randomly fail to read without touching anything regardless of what type of USB I use. I used a crappy $26 radio from Kragen as a hold-over till I got this installed, and the $26 radio was BETTER. Avoid this.

Good value option for 2000 Camry
PLEASE NOTE: the unit name in this listing (KW-R930BT) is the Australian model, BUT I received (and intended to buy) the KW-R930BTS, which is the US model. I got tired of using an FM transmitter to play Spotify in my 2000 Toyota Camry LE. This head unit satisfies all my expectations. My only real gripe is that the unit is crooked after installation and does not sit flush. This might be due to a wire resting under one side or other installation error, but I doubt it since the bracket installed perfectly. Installation was super easy. You will need a Metra 70-1761 wiring harness, medium sized Philips head screw driver, wire crimper (or electrical tape and wire strippers), a pry tool (preferably plastic), and a 10mm socket wrench. You can use the factory brackets and do not need a mounting adapter. My vehicle only has a dimmer for the instrument cluster, not the rest of the dash. However, I still connected the orange/white wire on the harness for the dimmer to the orange/white wire for the R930BTS illumination (the lights on the head unit). This works perfectly. All speaker wires for the wiring harness and the R930BTS match up in color, so you'll connect grey/white to grey/white, etc if using the 70-1761 harness. This head unit supports an optionally purchased remote and steering wheel controls. Since I have neither, I left those wires unstripped and disconnected. It also comes with a microphone that works decently well. Multiple people I called could hear me clearly while my phone was connected to the stereo via Bluetooth. The plastic face and buttons feel kinda cheap, but that's what I expected for ~$100 and it fits in well with a 19 year old car. The factory antenna works for all FM and AM bands. Sound quality is great with the factory speakers (which do not use an amp, so you will bypass that when wiring the unit). I bought this unit specifically for the price and the fact that the face has a lot of bare plastic space. I mounted a wireless charger for my Galaxy S7 to this empty space so I can charge my phone and listen to music in the car wirelessly.

Great Bluetooth stereo for the price
I replaced the stock stereo in my 03 Tundra and this model suits my needs just fine. It pairs with my iPhone with no issues. Sound quality is really good and installation is fairly easy. I also purchased the Scosche double din bracket set (TA1465B) for 6.99 and the Metra wiring harness (70-1761) for 4.99. On my Tundra I had to modify the bracket set slightly. I cut out a small section of each bracket so that they would be flush in either side of the stereo. They’re plastic so it’s really easy to do. The thing to remember on the Tundra is you also have to remove the stock amp. The Metra harness will only work with the harness that plugs into the amp. It’s a little bit of a challenge to get to the screws that hold the amp in place but once you do the rest is easy. The Scosche bracket set fills in the gaps on either side of the stereo and makes everything look really nice. I spent a total of like 115 bucks for everything and I’m very pleased. You can customize your sound and choose from a ton of light colors and the set up is straight forward and the manual is easy to follow.

Nice looking and nice sounding car stereo.
Replaced a stock stereo on a 2008 Toyota Tacoma, as it lacked flexibility and I was bored with it. It never conked out and it sounded adequate. I looked into the 2017 JVC line as most of their head units didn't look as awful as the competitors, including JVC's 2016 line. It was just a lot classier and more modern looking than the rest at the time. The lights are customizable in color and have selectable brightness. Only the display stays one color and have selectable brightness. Downside to the display can be on a bright day, it can get washed out even at maximum brightness. The audio processing is pretty nice and is very customizable, right down to the sound height and 13 band equalizer, though it isn't easy to adjust on the head unit itself. It's more akin to adjusting EQ on a more modern AV receiver, which can be a little tedious. (It can be done via the app). There are also more simplified tone controls, as well as bass boost and loudness selections, and even digital time alignment settings. There's so much flexibility on the audio end. Have not had an issue with the Bluetooth connection or quality. Pairs on startup, with a Sony Xperia P and a Blu Grand XL LTE without hiccups. The call quality was fine and it does have settings for noise cancellation and microphone sensitivity. The only drawback is the microphone placement, though it's more of laziness on my part, it should be integrated into the head unit. Installation wasn't bad, though. The microphone is supplied with more than enough cable to reach the unit, if tucked in the trim of the A-pillar and routed beneath the dash and fished through the center stack (I used trimmer line and tied the microphone plug to it). The CD player works fine. Wanted that feature as it didn't cost much more than a model without it. Plays all kinds of mix CDs that were lying around, including MP3 compilations (WMA and AAC too). USB works fine, enough amperage to charge a phone (1.5A) and reads USB drives with ease. Auxiliary audio jack works great for connecting your Walkman, because you can. The app leaves much to be desired on functionality (this is on the Android platform, make of that what you will). The music player section is just bad on selecting music off of the phone's memory. I wound up using my usual other apps to fetch music from and there are no conflicts. It does control a lot of the settings and the head unit also relays information like radio station RDS to the app. The app control is a nice touch and can be capable, but it needs to be updated to address usability issues. I have not upgraded the stock speakers on the Tacoma yet, but just upgrading the head unit have made them perform better. Maybe soon... This is a pretty nice upgrade and it doesn't look horrid. I hope other manufacturers step out of the early-2000s aesthetic and do more designs like this.

Could not be happier!
Such a great radio receiver, I am very happy: The price is fantastic, the radio looks very good and the sound is truly awesome. I have a 2001 Sequoia with JBL (Factory built in Amp), and I have to say I had no clue my factory speakers and Amp had the ability to sound that amazing until I installed this JVC radio / cd / receiver. What this receiver gets out of my factory toyota sound system is nothing short of incredible. The original toyota receiver is not even close in terms of dynamics, punch and/or clarity. I am a drummer, have been playing drums for almost 50 years for many bands, did many live concerts, so I know a thing or two about sound. I tell you, this baby produces amazing sound, full bodied projection with everything in between in terms of your mids, lows and highs. I recommend this animal without reservation. Note: The installation is a breeze, very easy, nothing to it. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!
