Does this replace the rainwater collection pipe or do I fit this as well?

I'm not sure what your question is. The diverter is a box you attach to the rainwater downpipe by cutting into the pipe and inserting the diverter box. This then is attached to your water but using the hosing.

Will this work with a 50mm downpipe

Hi. Afraid it is only for 65mm pipe. It would require a lot of messing about to convert it to anything else. Sorry..

Can i put the rainsaver diverter kit 50 cm higher than the water butt??

No. If you do that the water will keep flowing into the butt even when it is full. The diverter needs to be level with the water butt's inlet hole so that the water cuts off when the butt is full.
