One Night: A Sullivan Family Special Edution : Hendrix, Lena: desertcart.in: Books Review: The cover on this edition is AH-MAZING!!!! Duke and Sylvie's story was just perfect! The right blend of romance and angst. Duke was so lovable under his grumpy exterior and Sylvie learned to stand up for herself. I loved every word! Review: Well, well, well, it appears Lena Hendrix has saved the best Sullivan story for last. I have adored this series since the first book, and I didn't think these men could get better, but Duke is *chef's kiss.* Just do yourself a favor and read it. We're back in my favorite Michigan town of Outtatowner where Duke Sullivan, the oldest brother of the family who puts everyone first over himself, falls hard for the daughter of his family rival, Sylvie King. Their relationship starts off as a secret friendship and of course develops into so much more. Duke realizes he will do anything for his love and their family of three, making them first in his life over the rivalry, and over his family. I'm not one for pregnancy tropes, but once again, Lena has proven to me if done well, it can be soooo good. The support Duke gave Sylvie was what I expect from a man and his partner.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ In the last of the Sullivan Series we are with Duke and Sylvie. Sylvie is a King and could not be more off limits to Duke. They are frequently interacting when he brings his fresh to work and they strike up an unlikely friendship. Together they become intertwined in each and the connection they have is so natural. They end up having one night together but fate said that wasn’t enough and they end up pregnant. Once they their relationship is not a secret and they let their walls down it’s magic. This is filled with all the banter, spice, laughs and swoons that you can’t out the page down. Duke is the swooniest, grumpiest, angstiest and yet most caring main mmc. This was hands down my favorite of the series and am so sad for it to end. I am looking forward to diving into the full world of the Kings, which we get a great glimpse of here.

It took me forever to complete this book. I just couldn't get into it for some reason. I'm a huge fan of the author, so I'm not sure why this one fell short for me. Secret friends to lovers was a good premise, but it was pretty slow moving and there was a family secret between the Kings and Sullivan's that I didn't really understand, so it contributed to my slow progress on getting through this book.
