Their branding is fun, and the bottle is tall and solid with a reliable spray top. The ingredients are vegan, cruelty-free and silicone-free, checking all the boxes. Usage: I use this after washing my hair every other day, sectioning my hair and spraying it on the roots before brushing it down to the ends. I don't use too much and make sure to spritz each section once. The product boasts scalp protection with the onion and apple ingredients, and I do think my scalp has benefited and has been less aggravated, so I'm not careful with spraying it on my scalp, plus it doesn't weigh it down or worsen greasiness. It's quick to apply and works beautifully to create lift and volume, especially if you use a hairdryer and a circular brush. The heat protection aspect is a bonus, giving me peace of mind when using my hairdryer and straighteners. It supposedly protects hair roughly up to 230ish degrees celcius and that's impressive. Effectiveness: This is one of those products that seems to thicken your actual strands and give you lift at the roots, so it's pretty salon-esque. For someone with fine hair, it strikes a great balance: it delivers volume and shine without weighing my hair down or making it greasy. The formula feels clean and natural, and the results last until my next wash. While the scent is nice, you can sort of pick up on the interesting mix of ingredients so it's not your standard "fake" hair product, flowery smell, but I don't get hair products for that! My hair is bleached to heck and back, very fine and very long so I tend to be careful about the products I use and how much heat styling I do. I've always found that mousses weigh my hair down and leave it feeling crunchy so I was really excited to try out the Fable and Mane Moisturizing Volume Spray and have been really impressed with the results! After washing my hair and very gently patting the excess moisture out with a towel, I applied the volumizing spray to my roots and then gently blow dried my hair on a low heat with my head upside down. When I flipped my hair (like I'd just walked out of a salon) after drying - whoah! Actual Kate Bush effects. Which was fantastic as that's exactly what I wanted. My hair felt soft, it was shiny and I spent the day doing the hair flippy thing because every time I did, I got the scent of the spray which is GORGEOUS. If it was a perfume, I would wear it every day. It smells delicious and lovely. At the current price £26.00 - the Fable and Mane volume spray isn't the cheapest but based on the results on my hair, the amount of uses I'll get from the bottle and how amazing it smells, I would absolutely recommend it.

Every day is a nightmare choice between using heated stylers and risking ruining my hair further, or leave it looking awful! So heat protection is a must for me. I read the bottle to figure out how to use this product and the first word I saw was 'onions'. Onions? I thought. That worried me a bit so I waited until I wasn't going to work to try it for the first time in case I ended up smelling like a pickle head. Well, actually, the smell is fairly strong, spicy but pleasant and I couldn't detect onion at all. My partner always notices when I use something new and he likes the smell too so it passed the sniff test! The instructions say to spritz generously, which is a bit subjective, so I spritzed all over but not staying in one place too long. I could tell a bit of difference to my root lift and my hair felt smoother. I'm really interested to see if used for a longer period, the onion extract does help to strengthen my hair. The only downside of this hair spray is the price, which is currently £26.00. However, the country of origin is stated as USA so perhaps that is the reason why. It's really hard to find anything that helps with menopausal hair so it's worth its weight in gold if this stuff works long-term!

I was a bit concerned that this Fable and Mane moisturising volume spray would smell unpleasant, given it contains extracts from onions. However, I am pleased to report that it has a pleasant scent and left the room where I blow-dried my hair smelling like a good hair salon. I followed the instructions by spraying a generous amount to my towel-dried hair. I then blow-dried my hair as it is apparently heat activated. As I've said, the scent was pleasant. I also like that it's very light - my hair doesn't feel sticky or clumpy after use, even 16+ hours later. There was a very slight increase in volume at my roots, but not elsewhere in my (thin fine) hair, and it only lasted a couple of hours. I also found that the increased volume came with quite a bit of frizz, which isn't really what I was hoping for. So far, this hasn't been hugely effective for me. However, I'll continue to experiment with it. Maybe I need to apply it even more generously? Or apply it to slightly wetter hair? Or blow-dry on a hotter setting? If I crack it, I'll update my review.

The Fable and Mane Moisturizing Volume Spray arrived as described and looks just like the advertised photos. I got this like most, to add a bit of oomph to my flat, fine hair. The product is easy to apply and dries well without being greasy or weighing the hair down. I love how it made my hair look and feel once I applied it. It definitely gives it a bit of extra something - similar to a sea salt spray but less drying. In fact I found this quite hydrating for my hair and it has the extra bonus of giving some heat protection. Overall I'm happy with this product but it really doesn't last long if you have long hair. However, like all good products, it comes at a cost and this is a little pricey for 100ml. Having said that it does work for me so I may reorder once I've run out.

This Moisturising Volume Spray is made by Fable & Mane who are a premium hair care brand. It has been designed to provide weightless volume for thicker and fuller looking hair. You apply it to towel dried hair and it is activated by blow drying. When I saw that one of the key ingredients was onion extract I was slightly perturbed that I would end up smelling like a hotdog stand! I was very relieved when I realised that this product has a lovely aroma and there is no trace of onion at all! The details say it is suitable for fine, thin or fragile hair types but I must admit that my hair is quite thick but the spray still managed to provide quite long lasting volume to it. My hair feels good after using it with no stickiness or stiffness. As well as providing volume it also provides heat protection to 450°F, which is great as it saves the need for a separate heat protection product. My hair is coloured and I like that this is a colour safe product and other good points are that it is silicone free, cruelty free and vegan. I am definitely impressed with this spray, but I do think that it is very expensive. As the bottle is only 100ml, it won’t last that long and it’s not the sort of product where you can say a little goes a long way as you need to spray it all over your hair. Having said that, it is still a great product that leaves your hair both volumised and protected from heat and I think it’s worthy of a four star rating.
