I admit this is likely my fault, but I had expected the lid to snap closed. As it turns out, the part that opens simply rests on the bin.We live in a high rise & take recycling down every few days. We have 4 cats + a dog that all eat wet food, so we go through a lot of cans.The size of this is great for our needs. It holds a good amount, but not so much that it gets really ripe by the time it's full. We can easily wash it in the bathtub if needed since we don't line it with a plastic bag. The handle is comfortable to carry.We've had to hide it in a closet because the cats have figured out to knock it over which scatters cans + lids everywhere.The plastic is nice quality. The appearance is as sleek & neutral as pictured. The green is definitely much more mint green than sage-y. If you're not a fan of mint green, you might want to choose one of the other colors.
