My 13 lb Havanese had major surgery (TPLO). My neighborhood has many bad dog owners, open gates, and roaming dogs. Since he just had surgery he cannot run and is basically defenseless but needs his 2 physical therapy walks a day.After a close call with a German Shepherd I decided that I would buy this spray to protect him just incase.Today was the day my worse fear came to fruition. While walking home a pitbull roaming the neighborhood came tearing down the street hair raised, growling, charging, lunging then STOPPED. I emptied the entire can of spray before it stopped. It tried to come back twice to get us. The spray was amazing.I have used cheaper “cone” hault spray while reading meters. That style sucks as if it’s windy it blows back at you and produces mostly a mist. It doesn’t stop dogs as well compared to the “gel”. Using the cone based sprays I have also had a dog bite me after spraying.This spray is “gel” based. My wife who was in law enforcement recommended it. It was a night and day difference. There was no mist it was a solid concentrated stream. I was shocked that it could defend against 3 charges of the pit bull. 1st initial charge I began spraying at 10 ft and it stopped finally writhing 4 feet. The second charge I got it all over the dogs eyes it got within 3 feet. The last charge the dog came back I got it right down the throat stopped at 1 foot and it began having issues breathing.After the attack attempts I contacted 911 and filed a police report. The dog I used it on was in a bad way but the police officer said that the gel spray this spray saved my dogs life. He was amazed how well it worked and was able to detain dog until animal control came.Amazing product worth every dime.

I love having these around so I don't have to go and find one specific one and to have spares in different locations. They're easy to use compared to some other's I've seen and I'd imagine easy to take off of your key ring if you carried it so. Effectiveness? I'll tell you when I know. Color is jet black and size makes it easy to palm and carry inconspicuously.

I haven't used it yet which is probably good since it means nothing happened to me. But it's cute and it has a good gripping. I like the feature where the the plastic that is blocking the push button has to just be lifted with a finger.

We bought these as extras to go in our emergency bag, which we have used in the past as well. They're easy to use, and the keychain part of it is great as an accessory to connect to your keys or you're belt loop. Excellent price point for 4 of them. It also helps you keep the peace of mind and know that you're safe and you have a form of protection against a bad guys or even animals. The good thing about them is that when you go to spray them, they work.

Great product...but safety cap broke within a month

I hope I never have to use this, but I needed a new one for when I move to a big city. My old one was cheap from Amazon and had a “safety” feature where you would switch the safety to the side. After dropping my keys, it was no longer protecting me from spraying myself or others on accident if I wasn’t paying attention. This one flips up to show the button and has a spring to close the top automatically. The spray also has some sort of UV light component to make identification easier if someone was sprayed. It’s a little bigger than my old one, but fits on my keychain fine. If I ever buy one again, I’d probably buy this brand again.

I like the flip cap, it will be easy and effective to use with one hand. And the keychain makes it so I can hang it on the outside of my bag. Again, easy and effective. Which is what you want in an emergency.
