I wasn’t expecting too much based on the price, but wow—this Elf mascara seriously delivers! It makes my lashes look so much longer, and it works better than some of the high-end brands I’ve tried that cost double (or more). It doesn’t flake, it doesn’t clump, & it washes off without leaving smears on the face —it just does exactly what you want mascara to do. Great price & definitely making the switch!

Wow! I am so allelrgic to makeup, but I tried this for a photo and surprise - no reaction! I was able to have it on for about 5 hours with minimal reaction over the time. I was also very pleased at how easily it was removed with just water, but it didn't run when my eyes watered, go figure. I didn't apply it close to the lash line, just midway and tips. Good color, excellent application brush, no smell. I initially used two coats, but then added one more coat for the photo. This is what a mascara is suppoed to do! Bravo.

This product flakes a tiny bit shortly after you apply it. After that, it basically doesn't flake. It's the least flaky mascara I've ever tried (and I have tried several) and it does not smudge. If I'm in a rush I can even get away with not powdering my undereyes and it's still ok. With other mascaras, even the one I use daily and love, there is no way I can skip powder. I can even do bottom mascara with this no problem.BUT you have to apply it right to prevent flaking. This applies differently than a regular mascara. You have to work faster than fast because it dries very quickly. Finish one eye completely before moving on to the other because you can't touch it up later. It's not a good idea to try to do multiple coats, because the coat you're applying may start peeling up/removing the coat beneath it. It also tends to look more spidery the more you apply. Just apply one really good coat and be done. The thicker you try to build up the product, the more flaking you'll get on the undereyes later. It just wants to be a 1-coat, minimal mascara.This mascara doesn't make your lashes super thick and voluminous, partly because you can't build it up, as I mentioned. Just accept your lashes will look very natural. I'm a brunette and most brown mascaras still have a lot of "oomph" on me. I wish I had gotten the black shade of this instead of brown, because again-- it just doesn't have much impact.I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I get a lot of lashes falling off when I remove it. I'm concerned the alcohol is drying out my lashes too. So I only use it every now and then.Overall, this is my HG when I need a mascara that will not smudge no matter what. It also is a good choice if you're looking for very natural, gen Z, not clumpy/flaky lashes.

I swear by this mascara. I used to use a Clinique tubing mascara, which is incredible, but I am a broke college kid and needed an alternative. Y'all, this is the way to go! I tell everyone about it, I got my mom and a couple of friends to start using it, and they love it! I've repurchased my second one since first discovering it!!!It stays on all day, it does not flake, no dark fade under eyes, no smearing after rubbing my eyes. I have stressed cried in this, and it does come off a little, but in the little tube things that are easy to wipe away; it didn't leave color under my eyes, and most of it stayed on.I love this stuff, and if ELF ever comes out with a waterproof version of this exact mascara, I'm buying it. I would argue this is the best drug store mascara in the market!

I wanted to love this mascara--I usually love ELF products, and I'd always wanted to use a tubing mascara, so this seemed like it was going to be the perfect entry, so to speak.The mascara itself is really nice--a soft, rich black color, not too harsh or stark, and the tubing effect made my straight, average length lashes look so pretty!It was on the second(? Third maybe?) wear that I connected the constant eye irritation and feelings of "there's something in my eyes!" with, "oh yeah, I'm using a new mascara..."! I really *really* didn't want it to be the makeup though--so I took a couple days off ("maybe it's seasonal allergies!"), was fine, then wore it again--and had the irritation and weird, little-bits-of-stuff-in-my-eyes feeling again. So sad!!!I also had a little bit of an issue removing this--I bet it would have been easier/better had I, you know, used an actual makeup remover, or even micellar water!, but I didn't have great success with just a little Castile soap and water. And I highly suggest *not* trying to pick this off like you would regular mascara--you *will* lose eyelashes, but that's not the makeup's fault!Overall a good product, just not a good fit for me.

love this so much, found out my maybelline one had horrific ingredient that are super poisonous or something insane. found this from yuka app suggesting something saferi have short lashes, like i wear faux lashes daily type of short. but this is the longest my lashes have ever looked!!! very build able without getting clumpy.i used to lose lashes sometimes when removing mascara but this fixed it, so easy to remove just with water!my new staple go to mascara, and its under $10??? amazing for the price. can't believe this works better than my other one, costs less, is more easily removed, and is made with safer ingredients? i've been trying to put all my friends onto this10/10 this is the one. you don't need to keep trying expensive mascaras

Absolutely love this mascara! It seriously lengthens my lashes like no other. The formula is smooth (not dry at all), doesn’t clump, and best of all - zero irritation, even for my sensitive eyes. The brush is super convenient to use and coats every lash perfectly.Bonus? It washes off effortlessly with just water - no scrubbing, no raccoon eyes.Ilia for 26$? Nope. Not falling for that hype anymore. This E.l.f. mascara does the job better - for way less.
