Like many folks these days, I have used retirement to move abroad given desire to travel and had many U.S. electrical goods I shipped to use in Portugal. This is the best converter I've seen for this general price level. Another one I had worked but the fan would often run with incredible noise and resulting vibration which wasn't great in my bedroom at night. This is heavier duty than needed for most uses but it does seem to be one you can really trust to not fail you. Will pick up a couple more to replace the other ones that work but seem more questionable to trust when you can't easily get a replacement if they fail.

I loved this during my recent international travel! I used it for my mini electric kettle and it worked perfectly. I had no issues, and I used it 3 times a day for 2 weeks. It's so much lighter than other converters, and it's really quiet, which was a nice surprise. Will definitely be using for future travels!

This is the lightest 1200W step-down converter that I've ever seen. Used in on an international trip where the visiting country ran on 220V, and it allowed me to use my 110V devices.Worked perfectly. Managed temperature well, even when approaching load capacity.The company claims that they have patented the electronics in the device, which may explain the significant lighter weight than competitive products.Highly recommend if you need such a device.

Worked perfectly for my wife's hair appliances in Brazil. Just know if the power at the outlet drops from 220 to 127 the light will not stop blinking and it will not work since it cannot convert 127 to 120 or 110. Other than that it worked great.
