very sticky to clean skin
I have tested this product on my skin; however, I did not have a skin tear. I used it on non-injured skin to test the tape. If you are bleeding, it may be hard for it to stick due to the moisture (blood). After the product was self-applied, it was a bit challenging to tighten the straps evenly and get them to pull together. As a nurse, I feel this product would be best applied by someone else. If you are a very determined person, you will probably make this product work good enough by yourself.

Hope I never need it, but I have it.
It arrived quickly and is sitting in my first aid kit, hoping I'll never need it. Looks like it will be easy to apply for a novice like me. I bought this because I have a Girl Scout troop, and the girls are getting older and more adventurous. I'm praying I won't need it, but I've been a leader for over 30 years and I've seen some wounds that this would have been perfect to close.

Good to have
I got these vs going to the ER for a stitch or two due to my puppy's bite. The bite was on the thumb muscle, so it's a hard spot to protect. These do work but make sure the injured area doesn't move much or get wet. I wrapped it & noticed the next day that it wasn't sticking & did nothing.

Not good for open wounds
The plastic strips when you pull them close together, if any pressure is on top of this Band-Aid, it will push the plastic into the wound, causing it to be very painful. It’s best to get a crossover butterfly stitch than this.

Works!
Love these! The adhesive stays and keeps the wound closed to help give time to heal, but does not stick so hard as to rip skin off when removing. I have extremely sensitive skin and usually get more wounds when removing medical tapes or bandages.
