Pretty impressed
I don't write reviews for all of the items I buy on here. I expect a lot of the items I purchase on Amazon to be borderline consumable. I had read good things about this headset and its comfort, I get hot playing, it seemed like a product worth trying. It kind of nailed it, it fit well, is easy to adjust, can be used by a wide range of head sizes. The fan is a lifesaver to me and should just be a standard purchase for headsets in my opinion now. It's ugly, but performance wise I think the design fits. If you play with the adjustments I feel it really cradles the back and lower part of my head. Balance the weight with the battery pack and you lose that feeling of the headset pulling or falling forward with the weight. The headset feels solid, and has survived pre-teen use too. So here is the * After about a year the battery died, honestly I had been kind of bummed. I expected the longevity to be a little better for the price point, but I was still not super upset because at the end of the day I didn't follow best practices for charging and storing. I was crunching numbers for the price of a new battery and was about to pull the trigger, thinking well if I do a better job and get two years out of the next one, honestly the buck and a half a month would have been worth it to me. The headset really fit me well. Anyways before I hit buy I reached out to BoboVR and with a few emails on my part and superb customer service on their part, a new battery was on the way. I think they correctly diagnosed why my battery failed but they still very quickly honored their warranty. Communication was fast given the massive time zone differences, the communication was clear and easy to understand. Given it was an amazon purchase, finding a good vendor for what can arguably be a consumable product can be hard. Now not only am I happy I chose to try the product, they did something pretty rare and earned a repeat customer. I will now be purchasing their battery and dock that allows you to use the battery packs as portable stations. The form factor and dual use with my headset make it one of the better values in a battery pack to me.

It's very comfortable and worth it.
The padding is so nice and makes playing more comfortable the fan is good but not really strong still good though. the extra battery life to continue playing dungeons of eternity is a life saver and being able to quick swap dead to a fresh on the fly makes gaming so much better. The only thing I don't like is when I'm looking down at the floor if feels like it's gonna slip off my head. I know I can't return it on January 1st as it's a federal holiday. So I will use it for the next day or two and see if I want to keep it or send it back. Right now I'm in the middle of the fence. Well update when I get more play time with it. (Update) After playing more with it today it is good and I've been able to play longer and enjoy it without the headache I would get from the stock strap that comes with the quest 3. Has of right now (11:10pm January 1st 2026) there was a scare. I had the battery on the strap it showed it was charging then it went off like it was dead or not connected. I took it off pressed the battery check button it showed 4 dots. I put it back on it seemed to work again. I will be playing more throughout the night to continue testing and make sure that it doesn't seem to not work again because of so it may be very comfortable playing with it on. But it would seem wasted money of the battery isn't working properly. I will update again before I go to bed and give updates had to if the battery is good. Update 1:14pm final update for now is it's the perfect head strap and battery. The issue I had must of been just because I tried laying my head on my pillow and it slightly moved the battery. I will still keep an eye on that. Overall I highly recommend. Main issue is once your in a for awhile and sweat the fan you felt at the start is basically not great now. But still the comfortable padding is a life saver for long time play. I've been in for 3-4 hours straight and I don't get a headache like I did after 1 hours and a half with the stock strap.

Buy it if you love to play VR
This is a response to the 1 start reviews complaining about it not being big enough for a grown man. False, all of those individuals don’t know how to adjust it. Theres two different pivot points to adjust orientation of the visor and back strap, plus it can adjust smaller or larger to fit a massive range of head sizes. My head is HUGE, it fits great, my nephew has a tiny head, it can tighten down to fit him. Now for the battery life, my brother has a two year old Quest 3 and an external battery strap about the same age. He gets about 2.5 hours of play time. When his is dead, I still have 50% on this external battery and 100% on my internal battery. You can play for 5 hours at least on a single charge. If you buy a 2nd battery, you can play infinitely. It’s comfortable, easy to install, high quality, durable, looks cool, battery life for days. Highly recommend.

I don't usually recommend things , but if you're new player or an vr veteran and doesn't have an elite strap , I highly recommend this elite strap , I have the quest 3s and it boosted it from 2 and half hours to 5+ and the quest 3 ,4 and half to 6 and half . If you're an hardcore vr player I highly recommend this and if you're not on a budget, and the built in fan on the front is also quite nice it cools down the vr it self so it doesn't overheat and doesn't effect the performance

Summary: I could have a lot to say about this headstrap but will keep it to the facts. Background is I never liked the M2 versions with battery as they would slow drain my Q2 even with it connected. I just previously stuck with the M2 version without battery and would stick one of my own at the back of it. With comfort mods I did on that set up I really thought that was my endgame for Quest 2 and Quest 3. Until this came along. Pros: - It comes with a build-in fan that you can granularly set the speed from 1 to 100. At around 60 and less percent the fan noise isn't too annoying over the sound of the game you're playing. I am a sweater even if I'm not playing intensive games. It doesn't cool very much but it does blow air around the top of your forehead area and depending how high or low you position that big fan on the top. - Finally BoboVR has added ratchet stops on the arm positioning. It's no longer friction based - but when you bend the arms or the back strap it has ratchets where you can click-position it and it'll hold it's place. This is very helpful for me so I know how many clicks it is return to my comfy spot after pulling the arms up to peek outside. - Also, due to the Q3 light weight and the ratchets stop I can even wear this headset without a facial interface like a Quest Pro. Very comfortable and good for MR games that you don't care if it's less immersive. - Battery B100 doesn't slow drain the Quest 3. Even with QGO app which "overclocks" your headset to play games with better quality or performance I've not experienced any slow drain. I was disappointed with the M2 Pro battery strap but not on this anymore. I even bought a second B100 ($62)! - Battery literally adds about 3 hours to your play time. Even with QGO app 3 hours is pretty good. I bought an extra battery so that I don't even have to rely on the Quest's internal battery, I can swap it after 3 hours and pretty much have unlimited playtime. - The two top oblong style head pads don't dig into my head anymore compared to M2 Pro. Seems they made the plastic very flexible on these. That translates to really good support on the top without the pain after a few hours. I even saw on a video you can take these off if you like - but I've never been able to on mine. - Back and forehead foam pads are comfortable. Very thick though comfortable and don't feel cheap. The forehead pad is a little too thick and warm to my taste but I understand it has to be that due to the fan. The fan does take care of that a bit. The back pad and the new design of the cradle at the back is very flexible and comfortable. - Pretty much these good features from the M2 Pro versions are back: The battery is very secure connected magnetically and has a satisfying sound when it connects or alerts you to no-battery. Comes with a good quality USB C to C cable. Plastic and materials are top notch, best that rivals the Quest's own plastic and color. Comes with a bottom part honeycomb back pad. - Since the arms and back needs additional force to move up or down, it's not really easy to move. Where you could use one arm on an M2 or M3, you'll probably need both hands so you can force it between the clicks. Not an issue for me as the trade off benefit is it's less likely to move if you don't want it to. Cons: - Only comes with bottom part of honeycomb back pad. I wish it came with top as well - I was planning to switch to honeycomb since I do feel it slipping sometimes though not anymore since I don't want to have half of each type. - PRICE! It's definitely an investment considering it's almost 1/3 of a Quest 3 128gb. You definitely need to read reviews and videos to understand the pros and cons. As I mentioned in my summary - M2 Pro was a fail for me for all my requirements. - The forehead pad is too thick. I often end my VR sessions with sweat underneath it, even if I'm relatively cool. I'm thinking of comfort mods and maybe using my old VR cover face foam to replace this. I do think they'll eventually come out with a model without the fan and therefore no thick forehead piece. - Some will complain about the fan, not me but here's my observations: It doesn't cool enough - just the top part of your forehead. It does get loud at 100%. Sometimes if you bend down, the exhaust of the Q3 will feed into the intake of the fan and deliver an unpleasant warm gust of air. Overall I feel if they remove the fan on a later SKU, it might be something I would have gotten.Though not anymore since this came out first. -

These are so comfy compared to the ones you get supplied and have a battery supply to boost your game time and a built in air supply yo keep you head cool. Would recommend highly.

The Thrill of the Fight.
