This is the fourth one of these I've purchased. I keep coming back because these display cases are smooth solid wood, beautifully crafted and finished, perfect for displaying military memorabilia, and are highly affordable. They are well packed for shipment and I've never received one that was damaged or broken. The back is easily removed and the felt cloth over Styrofoam is perfect to hold ribbons, medals, patches and photographs using two-sided tape or Velcro. These cases are heavy and come with two attached hangers to mount the case on a wall. It also has a flat base wide enough to allow the whole case to sit on a table or other suitable surface. A folded 5 by 9.5 ft burial flag fits snugly in the flag compartment. A beautiful way to honor your veteran's service and preserve their memory.

I purchased this to make a memorial for my father, a former marine, who recently passed. While there were some mixups with the shipping company having temporarily misplaced the package, the seller was very helpful and quick to step in when issues arose. Thankfully this did finally make it to me, albeit a little later than I had hoped. The quality is amazing and I adore the finish - it's polished almost to a mirror shine. There is plenty of room to display medals, dog tags, challenge coins, pins, patches, pictures, etc. My mom loves it. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend both the product and the seller.

Can't say enough good things about this. My dad was a member of the greatest generation and fought in WWII in the Ardennes in Europe. For years, pictures of him and his military items medals that were passed on to me were relegated to a cigar box safely tucked away in a nearby closet. But those things and his memory were out of sight and thus out of mind. When I went out and got this shadow box I mounted a letter sized picture of him when he was a big strapping man - a buck sergeant in his mid 20's (he died at the age of 87). This box, with key military photos and medals, including the 3 brass cartridges from the salute at his funeral - along with his burial flag, are now fully visible on the wall in my home office. I feel he is almost there with me again - he and our great flag get a salute - first thing each morning. And I am so glad to have him back. The box is of solid wood that is beautifully finished and has a glass (not plastic) lens. I shopped around for months before settling on this particular item and I am well pleased with my choice. Whether you get this particular unit or something similar - words cannot express the good it will do your soul to honor that special person in such a way. Do it. It's important.

Very nice looking and easy to use

Very very impressed with the quality of build on this affordable memorial box. All the way from the overly safe and secure packaging to the fine details this piece was thought about. And for its purpose, I really appreciate that level of care. I was not expecting such a quality product to be honest. This blew me away for the price.The top fits beautifully a 5ft x 9.5ft casket flag if folded to standard. The felt is good quality and the thread's on it run perfectly vertical along the thick sturdy Styrofoam backing. It is very impressively and neatly terminated on the backside of the board.The bottom section has about 2 inches from the glass to the felt board when closed. The wood is flawless and a medium gloss. The back panels are of strong particle board with numerous and sturdy metal latches, and multiple wall hanger options to ensure it won't fall off the wall.I've seen plenty worse for a lot more money. This is a quality product

This is a really beautiful display case, but there are a few improvements that could be made to make it a five star product. First off, one of the most important questions to address based on my experience in looking through many of these products is to confirm the flag case is big enough to hold a properly folded 5 ft x 9 1/2 ft cotton flag. The flag fit just fine, but the bulk of it was pushing against the back, which would eventually lead to the small tabs holding the back on to break in no time. I relieved this pressure with some black tape, which works fine since no one will see the back when displayed.The inside mount is a piece of foam covered with a black fabric that will mesh with velcro. The only thing I didn't like about this was the fabric seemed very loose. This is probably not an issue if you are displaying items that don't weigh much, but if you are displaying things with any weight, I think the fabric is going to sag and not look very well. A heavier fabric mounted more securely would be a great improvement. Obviously there are ways to work around this, but it would be nice to not have to.The first one of these I ordered arrived with a large chip in the finish at some of the joints of the flag display case. I called the company directly and they seemed very easy to deal with. Due to time constraints, I purchased another one directly from the company so they could ship immediately and am now in the process of returning the first one through Amazon. The company promised they would inspect the second one prior to shipping, but it arrived with similar chips in the finish in the same areas. I suspect the finish doesn't bond well in these areas because of the joints, so I don't know how that can be improved? In the end, I am just going to take a finish marker and touch it up, but I don't think that should have to be the solution.As I said, the company seemed really easy to work with when I explained the problem, but the return process is still ongoing, so I will have to wait and see if it continues to go smoothly.
