Sence this product is waterproof is hard to remove from the gums?

The adhesiveness is strong. I put it on in strips spaced apart and let it set for almost a minute. I then put my dentures on. If your dentures fit well then the adhesive will last the better part of the day. Do not put SECURE on your dentures like you would other adhesives, use less or you'll have your dentures on all day and I fo mean all day. I learned how much is good for me. You'll figure what the right amount is good for you. Waterproof? Much better than all other brands I used before.

so what if I need more than 12 hours? I usually have breakfast at 5 am and dinner usually doesn't happen til 6 or so

You'll probably have to reapply. My experience has been that none of the products I have used last more than 3 or 4 hours anyway; and I've tried at least four different products. Good luck.

It said keep your dentures and mouth dry, how do you keep your mouth dry?

Just make sure the dentures r dry n ur mouth is clean . Then apply adhesive to ur dentures n put in . This adhesive is waterproof so will last approx. 12 hrs.

is this a powder or a cream?

It's a cream like using a tube of tooth paste. Careful not to put excessive amount...this stuff really works great.
