Nice quality and function for the price.
This is an excellent reel for the price. It has a nice balance for the size and conditions of fishing I plan on having. It matches nicely with my Ugly Stik. I hope to enjoy the quality and performance of the 8000 for many years to come.

Smoothness and quietness
I've had many reels over the years. My other reel was stiff and at times it seized up. This new reel is probably the best I've had so far! It is smooth, large and quiet!Also it's a good value for the money. I would recommend this reel to anyone!

Junk drag system
The drag system is absolutely junk, and the reel handle broke and was loose and floppy after the very first big fish. The drag system was by far the biggest let down almost completely lost rod and reel . For $56 what can. You expect . Just spend the $200 and get a shimano

Good Value
Good reel for the price. I use it for carp & catfish and it has been very reliable with an adequate drag for larger fish. One 3’+ Longnose Gar with several runs.

Good reel
Overall the reel is good it is very smooth and holds enough line for what I need the only problem I have found after using it every day for about a week is that the spool doesn’t go down far enough and the line can easily get caught under it when you cast out the line and then you have to remove the spool to get the line out to continue fishing it isn’t hard to do but just very annoying to deal with
