I bought this lamp for a purely utilitarian reason - Vive Ultimate Trackers needed bright, even lighting around my room, and my nighttable lamp, wall spotlight, and ceiling fan didn't cut it. I'm usually wary of paying 3 figures for LED lamps as dubious quality LEDs can be used, we all know the corners cut in these devices. But this one worked beautifully. Installation was fairly quick and easy - screw in some metal plates between three metal tube structures, then slide the soft LED strip right in. Setup was fairly easy - I purchased Govee products before, so it automatically recognized the lamp without much hassle (I had to find the 2.4 Ghz password). The lamp has very even lighting up the strip, which goes to my chin. Casting against a wall corner brings soft, even light to the room. I was impressed by was the versatility. I expected a silly RGB panning thing, and there are features for that, but what I got was the ability to change brightness and color temperature! I made two nightlight presets, both 2700k, one at 5% for when I need to use the restroom, another at 1% when I'm just in bed and need a little light to see something close by. I've been frustrated with my lighting options for nightlights as I have particular sensitivies, but being able to dim the lamp that much and get nice lighting, and save those presets as a button in the app was an unexpected surprise! It's really hard to think of anything I don't like, here. Some of the motion can be a bit jittery. If you have an uneven floor, I don't think the lamp has any adjustments for the bottom feet. And it would be nice for 5ghz Wifi to be an option. Or, at this price, maybe even something remote. Otherwise the light is beautiful, the app works well, and I have no major complaints! It exceeded my expectations, which is very difficult to do. I will definitely be looking at more Govee products in the future.

Using these products to achieve their wall-wash effect is a great, easy-to-set-up RGB solution. They have good diffusers that hide the bright marks of LED strips, and they feature two types of LEDs, which allow for much stronger colors than LED strips, as well as functioning as a white light. I removed the conventional lights from my Studio and replaced them with Govee products. I am installing my entire place with Govee solutions, making the 3rd home I've had using solely Govee RGB lighting solutions. The app is excellent; check it for daily specials. Ensure you are getting the most recent models of the Govee lights you want, such as this Lamp, as they have made tangible improvements with each iteration. This lamp is taller, capable of producing brighter light, and features LEDs around the base, compared to the model it replaces. They look great in the same home and are 1 7 of my seven favorite Govee products.

During Black Friday sales I decided why not and bought two. Now I am addicted. These were super easy to assemble as they come in mutiple pieces. I don’t think it took me longer than ten minutes and that was me examining each piece carefully since the box arrived fairly crushed looking. Despite the box looking horrid everything with the lamp was great! The lamp is a fairly small foorprint but also fairly tall. They are absolutely perfect next to my television. I’m impressed with how bright and dynamic they are. I set them as a morning alarm and despite being in the other room it feels like someone turned on all the brightest lights when these turn on to awake mode. But I don’t usually use them for reading or tasks but to create dynamic ambiant light. This is where the lamps shine because there’s so many preset options and they are delightful. The colors are bright, they have s nice blend, and they are amazing!

Incredible range of colors that can be displayed. The instructions are not the most clear, however, one simple youtube video and you can have this lamp set up in less than 15 minutes. It is fairly tall, and the light it projects goes much farther than any other Govee product I have gotten to far. the base is a high-quality material that lights up at the bottom as well. It can have the neon colors you might want if you're going for a retro look, or it can have warm colors to make your house look like something out of Greece.

I like Govee products. I started with a patio light set I bought when I wanted something that could be universal for just regular lighting, but I could also make festive for very holidays and occasions and now it feels like half my house is Govee. I bought this lamp during a sale with another lamp (the three spotlight floor lamp) because I was wanting something for my home office and the intent was to try them both out and return the one I didn't pick. I like them both so I ended up keeping them both, but this one ended up in a different room. First impressions out of the box like with most other Govee products: the quality is there. It feels heavy and strudy and although the stick portion may seem like it might be fragile, it's not. It feels solid once it's together and all the screws are tightened up (hidden screws by the way which is a nice touch). Assembly took less than 10 minutes and I believe came with all the tools necessary -small screwdriver- though I don't remember exactly as I've also been known to ignore supplied tools and use my own. Light quality is good, even, no light or dark spots. My love of smart lights is the "set and forget" features so it ramps up usable brightness during sunset, adjusts to a nightlight mode after a certain time, turns off during the morning hours, that sort of thing. I'm still not entirely certain what the function of Matter is, but like with any other RGB product of theirs: the amount of customization is so expansive, I doubt I will ever use 10% of what this thing is capable of. The reasons it wasn't the choice of the two is first, it just didn't quite work in the space I had in the office. Space is tight in there and it would have been partially obscured by a bookshelf, whereas I could adjust the three spots to kind of work around the bookshelf. Second is entirely opinion: I'm just not a huge fan of its "modern" design. I could see how a pair of these would look excellent in like a home theater or something, but that wasn't the need here. However I did like it enough that I decided to keep it because I did find a space for it.

I love the versatility and style of this light. Set any mood you want with the variety of colors and brightness provided. Easy to use remote and great value for the money.

Great! Beautiful light show! It was very reasonable when I bought it but I've noticed that it is much more expensive now, so use your own judgment about whether to buy it. I haven't even programmed it or hassled with Alexa. I just let it react to the music or the TV.

And there was! And it was good! And then we got to have fun with colors too! Brilliant! Money well spent. The corner is no longer dark and I’m contemplating if there are other spots in the house that could use brightening up!
