Buy more than you think you need
Surprisingly fragile, as I dropped my camera with the silicone cover and it instantly cracked, but that's literally what they are for, to protect the actual lens. It's really easy to replace and install on the camera, just buy some extras because they do love cracking if you drop it even with the camera cover.

Must have
Great premium quality. the lens guard that I got out of the box got scratched during our vacation and it wasn't a big scratch but on the footage, it's noticeable. I went with the premium for replacement and I realized that I should've got one and instead of settling with the regular lens guard. It's pretty pricey but the feel of it is definitely worth it. It was a similar installation as the regular and it functions as expected. perfect fit for my Insta360 X4

These both fell off during first use.
I replaced the original lens guards my Insta360 X4 came with after the front lens guard had scratches.. I thought these ones would be better, but they both fell off during their first use about 10 minutes in, never to be found again.. It was a real bummer because I wasted my money and have no lens guards now.. I'm ordering the regular ones now, but wow what a disappointment these "premium" ones were..

Very good quality
Product is very sturdy and protects the lens on the insta 360. A rock hit the lens pretty hard and only a small crack was left behind. It sure saved me from spending money on a new insta 360. It’s also super easy to install it.

Save your camera lenses and use them…. Or be VERY careful
I guess I knew that nothing would compare to the bare glass of the camera lens… I was just hoping these would do the trick. Don’t get me wrong, they are better than the standard lens guards- but they do make the footage less sharp. It does protect against scratches though… we all know how expensive it is to replace the camera lenses so these are to protect your investment. Functionally- they do a job and it does it pretty decently. They are a little hard to install - but I used a camera lens cloth to turn and twist until they locked into place. Overall, not bad.

It doesn’t last on Motorcycles
One of the Lens guards fell on the first ride; this is the second pair. I don’t recommend any lens guard by Insta 360. I have tried both, and it doesn’t work for motorcycles because of lock mechanism flaws, which cannot tolerate motorcycle vibration.Edit: Support contacted and investigated the issue and is in the process of fixing it; I will give five stars to support and will update here if the new lens guard, with their instructions, will last bumpy motorcycle rides.

Impressive support
Initially, I was not very happy with these lens guards. I found them hard to mount and unmount, and that they had more lens flare than the standard guards. However, insta360 customer support helped me fix the problem at no cost. i am now very happy with the result in general, and the very service minded insta360 customer support in particular.

Follow directions
So I purchased a bundle that came with the lens protectors as I primarily use the camera on my motorcycle. Didn't follow directions and line them up correctly, although they did initially stay on so I was falsely secure in thinking I had put them on correctly. I am not sure if it was just vibrations or from taking the plastic protective cover on and off, but I lost both of them and the actual lens took a direct hit from a rock. Thankfully it only caused a small blemish and did not break. Lesson learned..follow directions carefully and line up the dots.
