Will buy you piece of mind
I don't have a long history with wet vacs for comparison. And I had hoped to find a handheld cat barf cleaner, which is a common occurrence around my house of three cats, 2 are seniors. Plus I have a toddler, need I say more? But after reading many reviews, I opted for this unit instead of a handheld. I put off putting it together for a week thinking it would be a pain in the butt to assemble, despite reviews saying that it was easy. That was a mistake in and of itself, as it is *extraordinarily* easy to put together and can be done and ready to use in 5 minutes or less. No tools required, no points of frustration.Because I put off putting it together, I had a couple of spots of cat barf sitting on my brand new carpet. I had spot treated them, but now the carpet was crispy where I had cleaned them manually. My eldest cat threw up again and I thought enough is enough, I need to put this thing together.I retreated the old spots and got them wet again with some vinegar and water. I cleaned up the old and new spots and confirmed with a black light flashlight that they were 100% clean. Let me repeat that, 100% clean! And the old spots were soft again once the carpet dried. This thing is saving my new carpet. I'm about to sell my house so it's critical that I have perfect carpet, as I spent good money to get good thick carpet and padding (before I knew I was selling).Could you clean your whole room? Oh yeah, definitely. You might have to refill the tank, but they built it in such a way it's so easy to refill, AND8 clean, It would be no trouble at all to clean an entire room.It has separate clean and dirty water tanks. And you need very little concentrated cleaning fluid for the soap to water ratio. So even the sample that comes with it is enough to last a while, even though I went ahead and purchased a large container from the get-go. It will probably last me a lifetime.I almost wish my cats would pee on the carpet so I can test that, but let's not get crazy here. I do believe that this unit would clean up cat urine completely though. It's so thorough! You can't get your carpet clean without good suction, and this sucker has GREAT suction. The carpet is almost dry when the job is complete. And the carpet is completely dry within an hour, leaving it soft and like new again.I can't speak to it cleaning stairs, as I don't have any stairs in my home. I can imagine it might be a bit of a pain. But I think that stairs are going to be a pain no matter what unit you use. There's no handheld attached, If that's something you're looking for. But it was excellent at cleaning right against the wall too.I was thinking about paying the super big bucks to get wood floors throughout my new home that's being built, for the sole reason that my senior cats throw up. Having this unit buys me peace of mind that I can get carpet in my bedrooms, which I prefer. This little lightweight unit will save me at least $10k, by opting for carpet in my bedrooms instead of wood, and having the peace of mind that I can clean any mess. Can you tell I love this unit yet? You will too. I haven't had it long enough to speak to longevity. But it seems like a solid unit. I personally think the price point is appropriate too.

Great little machine! Passed the Real Farmhouse test.
For the smaller size of this I am impressed! It is lite weight as well which I appreciate as I’ve had super heavy and clunky ones I the past. I have hard floors but several area rugs, I have 7 dogs and two of them are very much so in their senior citizen years and a couple cats as well. I also live in the middle of our dryland farm so when I talk about dirt I mean DIRT! Although I don’t have animals in the house 24/7 but the old border collies are and the others are in a fair amount and being a farm my rugs have seen some things. By “some things” I mean everything from manure on boots, sick animals, grease, dirt, hay, grime and a spilled cocktail or two. I try to keep my rugs as clean as possible but hauling them out once a year to pressure wash is beyond cumbersome and definitely not practical and sometimes you just can’t spot treat the spot. I vacuumed my rugs with my trusty Orek Commercial vacuum, feeling like they were fairly clean as far as dirt and hair. I just wanted to shampoo them to get the smells out… farm life you know? Well let me tell you… the water was BLACK with dirt, this thing sucked harder than a buckle bunny working a roper for entry fees. The hair… let me tell you about what it brought out of those carpet fibers… I was asking myself if all my dogs were accounted for because I thought there was definitely one living in that rug. Why can’t my vacuum get that deep? I used the Zep carpet cleaner in it and it did a great job. Water is super easy to fill and doesn’t weigh a hundred pounds. The water tank was enough to cover each rug, if you are looking to do a whole room you’ll have to fill a bit more I’m sure. I also used quite a bit given the state of my rugs. The black water tank is easy to remove and also isn’t heavy, it has a side port for easily dumping however I did find rinsing it was slightly a pain, that’s the only place to rinse and dump. Just took a couple extra minutes but it came completely clean. I ran over my rugs twice, first with the solution and second with just water. I was impressed that it didn’t seem to be pulling a bunch of soap up on the second go around, tells me the sucking power of this is great! It also didn’t soak clear through the rug meaning my floors stayed dry. It was easy to clean when I was done, I put it on my tile floor and turned it on, just held the “water” trigger for a couple minutes while it flushed the brush head and everything out. That did leave a bit of water on the floor but it was easy to clean up. The front also pops off so I was able to rinse the nooks and crannies out to ensure it was completely clean. I did pull some hair and such out of the roller brush and I used a rag to make sure it was all clean and dry but I also have 5 long haired dogs and a corgi (IYKYK) along with long haired cats… the hair around here is a lot. I am very happy with how this cleaned and I was very skeptical. But it passed the real Farmhouse test. Used for 6 large area rugs and it did great!

Great Machine, But Leaks
I have had this product for two days. It is a very simple assembly, lightweight, and not as loud as I was expecting based on some of the reviews. I purchased this carpet cleaner to clean a light colored wool area rug that was dirty from foot traffic. I use the machine with water only, no solution, because I do not want any fragrance in the rug.It did a great job cleaning and the rug looks and feels much better. I do have a two-fold complaint about this machine, however. One is that it leaks. When you turn off the power it leaves a puddle of water. You need to move it to a pad or a hard surface right away. And have paper towels on hand. It is not a little bit of water, and at first I thought it was defective. However, I watched a youtube review that said the product will release residual water. Secondly, it is difficult to clean the roller brush area to remove dirty carpet fibers and debris without having to unscrew it from underneath. So, just be prepared to get a little wet and dirty in this process, but your rugs will look great.
