Dad's Old Fashioned Root Beer 1 Liter (2 Pack)

THIS IS THE BEST ROOT BEER, PURE, NOT FULL OF CARBONATED WATER LIKE OTHERS.I DRANK IT FIFTY YEARS AGO AS A BOY, NOT AVAILABLE IN LOCAL STORES ANYMORE.

Too expensive but it brought back memories

I was soooo hooked on this stuff, ordering it every few months, drinking it every day (but not feeling well). It's extremely refreshing, very tasty, frankly the best-tasting root beer I've ever had. But I discovered -- too late -- that one of the first ingredients listed is high fructose corn syrup. I was shocked -- and disappointed -- because I thought this brand of root beer didn't have that stuff in it (which practically all other sodas contain). It's nasty stuff for someone with digestive issues, really really bad. I stopped drinking it and am feeling much better now. BTW, Pepsi finally got on the bandwagon and now makes "Pepsi Cola Real Sugar" that doesn't have hfcs in it, and it's very tasty. (Okay, not as good as Coke, but totally safe for me.)

This stuff has a very odd taste to it. I would recommend Frosties, Sprecher, or for something different, Bundaberg. All are really good. This stuff has something in it that tastes really odd, and I'm not sure what that is.

Still good flavor and brought back childhood memories. It's a throwback because it's so expensive i wanted to throw it back.

Cool gift for my husband who loves root beer.

Reminds me of true old fashioned root beer, sharp, crisp and not too gassy.
