Great reading light! Read paperbacks early in am before the sunrise, and this light slides onto pages and illuminates without having to turn a lamp on. Exactly what I was looking for, functions just as indicated.

I've had lots of book lights over the years and this is the best one I've ever owned. It has a long lasting 100 hours rechargeable battery which means I no longer have to deal with installing new batteries when they become too dim to read by. It has a range of light options from low to bright and three different lighting color options. Best of all is the clip that holds it to the book and the swivel light head that gives many options for positioning the light on the pages. It works really well with paperbacks, something none of my old lights did very well. And to top it all of the price is quite reasonable for all the features it provides. I'm very please with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Great little light that is easy to adjust brightness. My hubby stole it on day one and I had to come back for another!

Works very well

This reading light looks and feels fabulous. The metallic finish is gorgeous and I love the colour. It comes with a charging cable and the instructions are on the rear of the box. It actually arrived fully charged and ready to use, as shown by the row of indicator lights when it is turned on. These go out after a couple of seconds and flash when it is charging. The clip unfolds to reveal the function buttons and is metal. It is flexible and can affix to the hardback or a chunk of pages without damaging the paper. The head swivels vertically and horizontally so the exact angle required is easily achieved. The light settings have three colour temperatures going from a very orange warm white to cool white, and three brightness settings. The dimmest setting is sufficient to read by in a pitch black room, but I like the medium setting and the very warm white which I find easiest to read by without causing eye strain. The light is very slim and ergonomic too slipping easily into a pocket or drawer. It really does look a cut above the plastic versions of reading lights and I love the selection of metallic colours available. There is definitely one for everyone and I thoroughly recommend it.

I actually got the 86lux Book Light for work. I needed a good light that was fully portable, re-chargeable, and gave off lots of light. It also had to be limited to my immediate area next to my computer, so it didn’t shine in anyone’s eyes. I work in a team environment, often overnight, and when the ceiling lights are low, I wanted something to directly illuminate the paperwork I was working on. I was immediately attracted to the width of the lamp head for this purpose. This great little light had more features than I was prepared for. There are four lamps in the head of the light and three levels of brightness to choose from. From there, it provides three levels of color from these lamps. White light is all four lamps on white, yellow light is three yellow lamps and a medium brightness is a combination of the four white and the three yellow shining together. All three are very easy on the eyes. The light head itself is flexible and can point directly down at the page or can be moved up and down or left and right to get better illumination on what you are reading. When the Booklight is fully open, it will sit on a table or desk by itself, or clip to the pages of a book. The buttons for On/Off, Brightness and Color are right in the vertical base facing the reader so they are very handy to reach to make any changes. Charging time from the box was just over 20 minutes and the light burned steadily on full bright for 5 hours without a flicker before I turned it off. It’s working fine again the next day without a charge. This is a terrific little Booklight if you are looking for a nice wide illumination area and a visually attractive light. Mine came in red and I love the color.
