Did the trick
So far what I'm using one of these for is great. I needed a magnetic cover for my heat vent and I wanted to cover it with fabric or scrapbook paper so I have yet to see how well the adhesive works, but after reading the bad reviews I wanted people to know that these do in fact stick well to metal surfaces. Even though the metal vent is painted and is not solid, it sill sticks well. But this is with a closed vent door (not blowing out air), I'm using it as extra smell blockage so the people upstairs aren't subjected to my cat's litter smells. I'll update when I get around to finishing it. I have a new desk to build first.FWIW, these are not the type of magnetic sheet you use to stick other magnetic items to. For that you want metal, dearies. If you remember basic elementary school science classes, you should remember sticking magnets together and learning about polarity and how opposite poles attract (ie: sides of the magnet) and same poles will repel. I can imagine that is at play here. (The fact that some people don't understand magnetic poles does not bode well for the Dept. of Ed being decimated in the US.) Also, these are just simply not made for sticking other magnets to. These are for making magnets out of things like photos or stickers or anything lightweight and flat. They are sticky on one side with a very glossy paper to pull off to uncover it. They are simple to cut (not too thick to cut but thick enough to hold their own weight). These are also not made to hold other items, btw. They function as a decorative magnet in and of itself, not to hold other items on your fridge. If you want it to hold, say a photo or drawing, the point is to stick said photo or drawing to the magnet sheet itself and use it as a decorative magnet. It's not really a functional magnet and to expect one this this is just a little bit silly for how thin it is. (Although my first creation is functional as it's covering a heat vent). These were really affordable and do the trick for what I need.Just a note, this is *very* sticky. Be careful and don't make mistakes (like fumble and drop the paper) like I did and ruin a big section of magnet like I did as it's not repositionable, even with glossy paper.

Great seller. Just be sure to buy the right product
These big sheets can stick magnetically to a refrigerator, and hold up a photo on the adhesive side, but that's about it. They will not magnetically stick anything significant to them.I had hoped to use these to help organize a drawer that has in it a number of small loose sockets of the type used with ratchet tools. I had long endeavored to keep those loose sockets organized by standing them upright, in perfect order, and pinning them between the wall of the drawer and a small box. But if the drawer was ever jarred, was ever not shut gently enough, the box would move and sockets would fall over and get mixed up.I gave these sheets a seemingly easy job: just keep the small steel sockets set upon them from tipping over if the drawer is somehow gently jarred. They were incapable of that.So I initially gave them a bad review. The seller responded and made me aware that I hadn't ordered their appropriate product for my intended use. And the seller sent me that product for free. The seller's much better product for uses like mine, where much greater magnetism is required, is titled "Magnetic strips with adhesive backing." The price is the same. https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Strips-Adhesive-Backing-Magnet/dp/B0D5GTDKMK

Not 8.5 x 12
Measures less than size it's stated. Nice quality. once u put whatever on it, ITS STUCK - NO repositioning it.

Wasn’t as strong as I would like
The sheets are easy to cut and adhere to the surface. It sticks really well. My only problem is that it’s not as strong as I would like. Works well for lightweight items like photos and small acrylic pieces that you want to make into a magnet. Doesn’t work that well for heavier charms.

Works like they should
Magnetic sticky sheets. Not too much to say about them other than they work like they should. I'll use them to cover vents that still have air pushing through them even though the vents are closed.

weak sauce
The magnet isn't very strong.

Great for storing metal cutting dies
I've recently started making greeting cards using metal cutting dies. Many of the sets have tiny pieces that are difficult to keep together in storage binders. Now, I cut the magnetic sheet to the size of the storage pockets that fit into binders. I won't be losing any more small cutting dies!

Magnetic sheets
These magnetic sheets work well with sticking on the back of things and allowing them to attach to a magnetic whiteboard, however they do not work well with other magnets being able to attach to them.
