A superbly presented and sturdily bound book. the content seems right up to date and i look forward to many happy weeks of reading.

Taught graduate classes with it. Very good, detailed yet easy to grasp.

I am no fan of the lead author, I thought the previous edition of this book was about as bad as they come, and my review in 2003 lead the way at Amazon, where I said as much. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1IJJ45L74DFMH/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=0878930973 I also didn’t care much for the first edition, so you will probably realize I purchased the 3rd edition with more than a little trepidation. Anyway, I will be brief, other reviewers have discussed it in detail. The book arrived yesterday afternoon and I spent an enjoyable afternoon looking through it and snacking on a paragraph or two. One main comments: Comment 1). YOWZA!!!! - they hit it out of the park, and that’s really hard to do when you’re playing marbles! This book is what an invert text book should be, and it appears to be a good general reference on the subject as well; current up to last fall in most groups, I think. The change from the 2nd edition is absolutely marvelous, wonderful, surprising, and very, very welcome. To the authors, as an old invertebrate zoologist all can say is, "Thanks!!" The only problem that I see is the price. Yea Gawds!!! $150 for an Invert Text!!! And they don't even throw in a guided trip to the tropics to see some good inverts.

Esquemas precisos y claros, la mayoría en blanco y negro pero alguno en color. También incluye fotos en color. Sin lugar a dudas merece la pena para los interesados en el tema desde un punto de vista evolutivo.

El mejor libro básico para estudiar biología. Lo malo es que estás nuevas ediciones vienen con menos información a detalle que las anteriores. El libro llegó bien, en tiempo y forma.

I really enjoyed the lay out of this textbook. I think it is worth the money.
