Compact, very portable
Nice compact tool. I think will be a great emergency item to have at home. Will work with any vehicle or trailer. Just needed to add jumper cables to get enough legnth to reach a car battery yo run it. Havent used it yet, no need so far!

immediately saved my ass
I needed an emergency recovery option for my trips out to my cabin in the woods. I take one of two cars when I go. I didn't buy this for rock crawling fun with the boys. So a permanant mount option wasn't ideal. On the first trip out to the cabin, due to my new confidence, I tried to climb up the side of a west virginia mountain in 5" snow in my 4X4 F-250. Got a little too silly and dropped a tire off the edge of the road while sliding. I pulled out the conveniently packaged suitcase winch, rigged up the straps and wiring (shame on me for not prepping, but it would be nice if the wires had clamps on one end), then proceeded to winch while my daughter goosed the throttle. We got out of there and lived to tell the story. It's not rated for pulling an F-250 up an incline, but it came through.Edit: i just added a PWM controller and an M18 Milwaukee battery as a way to use it “wirelessly”. I will either make other bumper-mount winch users embarrassed, or i will kill myself…. TBD

Got the job done without breaking the bank
The media could not be loaded. Paired with proper power this thing pulls well. I first tried it with the LifePo4 battery that another customer said they used and I got about 1 minute of use out of it. After that I hooked it up to my ATV and left it running so the voltage regulator would charge the battery while using the winch, and boy what a difference. Pulled two 35’ x 12” logs across a 30’ creek to get a washed out bridge back into place. Granted it did sound like it was struggling a bit, and the provided rope flattened out and pretty much glued itself to the spool, but it got the job done. With the portable design and included straps, I was able to easily move between trees to mount it in the direction I needed the poles pulled. It will now be used for pulling broken down equipment onto my trailer and to assist in felling trees when I’m alone. Only downside is the loose battery connections on the winch side as another reviewer has mentioned, nothing a couple washes can’t fix though. Easy to transport into the back woods and to operate The wireless remote definitely lived up to its stated 100’ range and operated well. Definitely worth the money.

Great product.
I use an e-trike to tow my PK-14 kayak on a single kayak trailer to the community dock. The ramp into the water is sand, so pulling the kayak out of the water can be difficult… especially at low tide.So I bought this winch and and attached it to the back of the e-trike. Winching the kayak out of the water is now easy. The winch works perfectly.

well built
very well made looks heavy duty. I haven't used it I hope I never have to. It certainly looks like it would pull my Jeep out of trouble.

No customer support. Positive lead should come with circuit breaker to protect motor from overheating! Went to web site its very limited and useless and emailed. No response

Missing parts
Make sure everything is in the box. Winch rope was missing in mine. Would not be good to discover that out in the boonies.

Perfect
I love that it's not only in a case to keep rain off but it's mounted to a steel plate with D rings on back. Perfect for temporary mounting in the bed of my truck for pulling in heavy loads. 200lb deer is hard to lift into a big 4x4.
