Stellar tooling, American made. Starrett all the way
I do a fair amount of work on firearms, cars, tools, etc. you’ll be hard pressed to find a tool that is of better quality than starrett. Maybe as good, but I doubt better. I love all my Starrett tools and actually enjoy the job more when I use them. Not only do I get a lifetime of use from them, but some of my starrett tools have been in my family for 2-3 generations and will still be productive when I’m long gone. Extremely good quality, American made, a joy to use, durable and an heirloom. Everything I want in any of my tools.

Great punch!
This punch is a great tool. Used it to drive molding nails through the molding to allow removal without breaking or cracking the molding or damaging the sheetrock.

Strong, well-made product
Prior to buying the Starrett 3/32" punch pin, I must have gone through easily 3 or 4 similar punches I had picked up from Home Depot and Lowes. Once I decided to try and pick up a more solid tool, I decided to get 2 because I was sure I was gonna break at least one if not both of them hammering away on my most recent projects. And sure enough, in order to punch out the troublesome pins, I found myself having to really hammer down on the Starrett punch, at weird angles, and on such small spaces where the pins were located. While I did manage to break one of the pins, enough of it was still left where I was able to finish my project. Whereas with all the other pins I bought, I couldn't even punch out ONE pin.Because of the pins I needed to punch out, specifically needing a weaker parallel tip instead of a wider tapered pin, I understood the punches would be more susceptible to breaking sooner or later. But the punch held up better than any of the others I tried. Next time I have need for strong punches, I won't think twice about ordering more Starrett brand punches.
