Broan-NuTone QT9093WH Heater, Fan, and Light Combo for Bathroom and Home, 4.0 Sones & Panasonic FV-0511VF1 WhisperFit DC Fan 50-80-110 CFM Retrofit Bathroom Exhaust Fan

Had an old QT style unit installed. The exhaust fan had worn out, the heater had never been cleaned since installation 20 years ago... well. Found a great video on YT "How To Fix a Nutone Bathroom Exhaust Fan That is Making A Loud Noise / Buzzing Sound Replacing Motor," and I ordered a new QT9093WH unit. Took me about 30 minutes to pull out the old innards from the bottom and put in the new innards.Function restored!Great air pull, lots of features, and better yet I managed the replacement completely from below and did not have to play with electrical stuff (the new innards plug in to the old sockets inside the can!)A+ for repairability!!

Professional installation suggested, wiring can be a challenge as each fan function must be wired separate and the fan portion junction box is tiny. Suggest a double deep wall box for the switch panel. Requires 20a service so be sure your bathroom wiring is not just 15a or complete rewire service from the circuit breaker panel will be required.Otherwise, installation is strait forward, hardware was sufficient. It is reasonably quiet and the night light is great, the heater warms up the whole bathroom in minutes. Exhaust fan is effective. All parts of the unit are modular and replaceable for future service.

I didn't want to have to remount the entire fan and rewire it. So I bought the same exact model so I could keep the old housing and electrical box. Or I thought I did. I did not realize there are two models that look identical from below but have different connections. Make sure you know which one you have before ordering. You can remove the cover by loosening the two screws that secure the cover, give it a slight twist, and lower it. Then you should be able to see the model number tag. If not, the QT9093WH has two separate electrical connections indie the housing, one is a standard plug and the other is a small square 4 connection plug. The one I mistakenly bought combines those into one connector.To replace the elements but leave the housing, just remove the four screws that secure the light/heater and drop that part out. Then remove the four screws that secure the exhaust fan and drop it out. Reverse the process to install the new components from the new system. It helps when reinstalling the light/heater to put two of the screws in halfway, two of the tabs in the part have slots. So you can put the light in and let it rest on those two while you put in the last two screws.All-in-all pretty painless except having to return the wrong model I ordered first.Also, the old fan was about 15 years old I think so they seem to last a decent amount of time. The only thing wrong with it was it began to rattle and get noisy.

I like the heater, vent, and light, but the shade came shattered. We bought it from the Amazon Warehouse and in one place it was advertised as only being an open box item but in very good condition. However, when we opened it, the glass shade was shattered, which we could see without even taking it out of the box. As our electrician was here to install it when we opened the box, it was too late to try to return it because we'd already committed with the electrician to install it. Amazon should have not represented this as being in very good condition except for open box packaging.

Purchased to replace my old one same model. Was easy to install for electrician. I stay away from doing electrical work on my own. But, I bet anyone could replace if they wanted. Runs perfect. Quietly. Was happy to see it included the switch plate since mine was very old. I have one of this same model in each of my bathrooms and I’m happy.

This was first available around the year 2000. It’s all metal and heavy. Very well made. Easy to install. It’s a modular design in that you can remove the light and heater in one assembly and the exhaust fan in another assembly. It’s repairable. Comes complete with all parts including the switches and faceplate. Grill is of enameled metal. Light diffuser is made of glass. This quality of product is very hard to find nowadays. A great find. Highly recommended.

I purchased two of these heater/fans 20 years ago and have really loved them. The one that is more frequently used started to experience a few issues and I've been replacing parts. Some parts are no longer available and apparently these fans (and similarly shaped fans) have been discontinued by B-N. The latest issue (age related) seemed to be the blower motor or fan.....so I purchased this apparently returned but marked as "new" condition fan to have replacement parts. I've used the guts to replace the more used fan but the package arrived with the glass broken. Thankfully, I can use the original glass and grid.Nutone--this is a fantastic unit--sorry it's been discontinued but more importantly that a similarly shaped fan is not available. Going to a "new" fan would have required drywall and patching.....

I had an older model from 2001. I found this newer model here and had it installed. Not too many issues getting it in. It works perfectly. I love this because it has heat for when I am in the shower. I am not frozen when I get out Due to the heat blowing down on me. It also has a nightlight, which is another terrific thing to have. Exhaust works fine and it has an extra light if needed.
