Overall, I find this rice to be decent for the price. It’s incredibly convenient - just one minute in the microwave on high and it's ready to go. Due to being in the microwave, I found that it cooked a little bit unevenly though. Not really unexpected. Some parts were softer/mushier than others. The flavor is good - it seems to have a nice balance of spices; however, the flavor profile isn't my absolute favorite out there. I served it on the side with loaded nachos. I think this rice would be better mixed into a dish or served with other ingredients versus just on the side by itself. Due to its ease, convenience, and low price point, I think I'll be keeping some of this on hand to add to tacos on taco night.

I was pleasantly surprised with this product. It has a very good flavor, for a something I thought could be spicy, but its not, and it didn't upset my stomach which was a plus. If you have a small family of 3, it would make a nice side dish, to just add some chicken chunks, vegetables, to go along with a main dish. Or you could make a rice casserole, out of this rice pouch. I can envision a stir fry, adding green peppers, onions and mushrooms. Drizzle some cheese on top for a snack with some chips and crackers. Its an easy open pack to use and a good quality.

Easily the worst Mexican rice ever, and I’ve had a lot of Mexican rice in my lifetime! But having just been released from 2 miserable culinary months of hospitalization, I thought, “How bad could it be?” My expectations were low, but really? Never, ever again!
