A single baby rat got into my apartment through the window. I’d tried a plastic humane trap and it didn’t work after a few days. I have dogs and so can’t use poison or snap traps, nor would I want to kill or hurt the rat.This trap worked within a couple of hours! It took a few tries for me to set it up correctly; the rat was able to get in and remove dog kibble from peanut butter without triggering the trap twice. What finally worked, my third attempt, was putting dog kibble not only on the little shelf with peanut butter, but also behind it.The photo is a bit blurry because the rat wasn’t terribly pleased with his/her confinement, and I was in a hurry to get it outside. But it shows that it worked! The rat is safely outside.

These traps work great and are very easy to set. I live in the country and something has been eating my tomatoes and our chicken food. I purchased the set of 2 small traps. I used a little peanut butter and set them both in my garden near the chicken pen. I have used them for 4 days now and each day I have caught a mouse in each trap, with the exception of today where I caught 2 mice in one trap! I will purchase another set to put more places around the house. I highly recommend these traps.

It did an excellent job. I placed it in my attic with bacon, and the next day it had a little mouse. I rehomed it about 3 miles away in a small wooded area, but it won't bother me in my attic anymore. The material looks good, the installation process is comfortable and very careful. It's very easy to clean outside with water from a pressure hose, and I'm ready to go back to work.

It took multiple days of the mouse going in/out of the box before it triggered the door shut (I know this because I had a camera pointed at it in the attic to know if a mouse was trapped). I think the door mechanism is too heavy. but, it worked eventually so 4 stars from me.

I purchased this live trap in the medium size due to a problem with chipmunks in my detached garage getting into anything they thought might be something they could eat, thus causing a mess. I received it just yesterday afternoon via Amazon, set it with a dollop of peanut butter on the trip lever and a few bird seeds at the entrance while we went about our work---ensuring we closed the garage door. Within 30 minutes one critter was caught and then this morning after hearing a rustling noise in the garage I checked the trap awhile later and caught another. I bought the medium size just in case a squirrel wandered into the garage which allowed for more room in the trap. The peanut butter attracts the critter, the door closes and you can just lift the cage, take it far away, open it up and there goes the problem critter off in a new home. The cage is sturdy for a smaller animal, eg., chipmunk, mouse, etc. and is easy to set, carry off and release the unwanted animal. All in all a great product at a reasonable price.

Worked great. Had a rat in the back yard. Set it up , (which was easy), rested it near the foundation of my home where it would frequent.Within 90 minutes there it was . Safely trapped.I transported the trap into the woods, where I was able to safely release it.The size was perfect for a medium sized rat.Highly recommend.

The concept is very good, but to me trying to put food in the cage was were I think it failed to gain 4 or 5 stars. For me dry dog food worked best but it fell through the holes; After weeks of not even coming close to catching anything I came up with a good idea. On the outside of the It now works like a charm W back end I put cardboard on the bottom at close to the very end and half way up the back and sides, which will hold anything without it falling through. It is a 5 star now ,catching things left and right.Why did you pick this product vs others?:It truly look good that is why I have two of them.Trap effectiveness:It works great now.

After receiving this trap, and per the instructions I bated the trap for several days keeping it from tripping. I verified every day the food was being eaten/taken I finally set the trap earlier that day. By the next day the trap had sprung and the little girl was safely trapped. I successfully released her in an area she should be happy in. The device is well made, and extremely easy to set up. The trip mechanism is very sensitive and operates well. I very satisfied with the results. A small carry Handel would be nice but not a deal breaker.
