Fine bow, good service
I already have a Diamond NX so I knew I could trust Coda quality. The GX is very much worth the extra money. I'm a serious amateur playing in an ambitious community orchestra (as well as chamber music with friends) and it's well suited to being my primary bow. Compared to the NX it gets a noticeably more focused sound from my violin and the balance and agility are greatly superior. It's also beautifully finished, and with quality hair that was easy to rosin. Electric Violin Shop shipped promptly and I was very glad they asked me whether I wanted the bow pre-rosined (I did not).

Bad frequency for electric violin
If you're playing with an acoustic violin, that's fine. But if you're using an electric violin, especially with distortion, forget it! It produces a bad high frequency. The same high frequency as we find in cheaper carbon fiber bows. This frequency is not found in hybrid bows or wooden bows. It creates harmonics but also this nasty plastic frequency in the distortion.

Great Bow! Would highly recommend!
I don’t often write reviews for a product, but this bow is outstanding. First, it is beautiful and you can tell it is well made just by looking at it. It is so lightweight and well balanced. It is a joy to play, and sounds great. Lifts and other bowing techniques requiring good bow control are much easier with this bow. It is an expensive bow, and as a newer player buying her first “step up bow”, I was a bit hesitant to invest $800 in a bow. There were so many conflicting recommendations floating around about different types of bows and what bow is best for a newer player. This bow was well worth the investment, and I would highly recommend this bow to anyone looking for a lightweight, durable bow regardless of where someone is in their musical journey.

Awesome bow!
To begin with, I would like to say that there isn't a bow as good as this one in the world. It is extremely light, and the weight distribution is superb. The CodaBow Diamond GX Gold is haired in a perfect way, and the sound it produces is amazing, even on violins of low quality.Something that should be noticed is that the materials used for its fabrication (Kevlar, XEBONY) don't harm the environment, as they don't contain any kind of wood. The presentation of the GX is astounding. It comes inside a nice CodaBow cover, and I even got a gorgeous case!Overall, the bow is definitely worth the money, since you will never find a better bow than the Diamond Gold.Julián Mellado, violinist, 7 years of experience

far better sound than the carbon-fiber bow that I have been ...
Well balanced, responsive, far better sound than the carbon-fiber bow that I have been using; noticeably better quality sound, and better balance, than mid-range wood bows that I tried locally. I am an adult intermediate player, and bought this as a special present for myself. I am no expert but even my inexperienced ears can notice the difference. It is a better bow than I am a fiddler. I am satisfied that whatever the faults in my playing now, they are not due to equipment.

CodoBow Diamond GX is a winner!
Good strong tone. Terrific spiccato and ricochet. Well balanced bow. Nice looking. Very easy to tighten the hair with a smooth mechanism. A great value.

The bow is great! But i was surprised that the bow is ...
The bow is great ! But i was surprised that the bow is 5mm longer than my longest bow. I can not fit it in my nice Bam Case. So i only use the bow at home. I guess it would fit into most cases though. The bow is 745 mm long. And 62g weight. Coda did not put that on there side. So there is a bit room for improvement. :)
