Difficult to open, risk of injury.
I have always like these batteries, used them for years. I don't like the new child resistant packaging. It is EXTREMELY difficult to open. You must be very careful to avoid cutting yourself. Also consider - if you are away from home, maybe out to dinner, and a battery dies, you must have scissors with you to open & replace your battery. Also, those with any kind of hand strength or coordination problems may need to have someone else open the package - a loss of independence. I hope Rayovac changes the packaging. Try Duracell Activeair.Addendum: I talked with a customer service rep at Rayovac - he said you can open the package and put all the batteries WITH TABS ON in a baggie to store and take with you as needed. Good to know!

Impossible to remove batteries from new packaging.
DO not buy. It is now impossible to remove batteries from the package. I have purchased this brand many times and in the past, there was a resealable flap in the back to remove the batteries. This has now been removed and there is a graphic to cut them out with a scissor. But good luck with that. The package is stronger than my best scissor. And unfortunately I discovered this 12 days after the return period expired. I will be throwing the entire shipment in the trash and have to buy another brand.Edit to this post...This problem is due to a ridiculous law called Reese's Law. Apparently an 18 month old named Reese swallowed a coin cell and died. So Congress and Biden enacted "Reese's law," requiring all coin and button cells to be in child proof packaging requiring tools to open and included hearing aid batteries. Unfortunately, child proof packages are also senior proof packages and most hearing aids are used by seniors. I'd write to my congressman but he's one of the dummies who sponsored it. I don't have a solution but all brands now seen to be in these new "legal" packages. Thanks, congress.

Bad design of packaging
This is about the packaging, not the batteries themselves, which are great (5 star). However getting one battery from the packs is very difficult and needs to be cut with strong, sharp scissors, as a knife doesn't do the job without risking self-injury. The plastic is very tough to cut - Child Safe - Hell, it's adult proof! I wasn't aware that this child-proof packaging even existed.

Great Batteries but TERRIBLE Packaging!
I will start by saying that these are the "go to" batteries for my elderly parents hearing aids. They have used these batteries for quite a while. The batteries themselves seem to be good quality and last about a week with daily wearing of the hearing aids. No problems with the batteries themselves. The downside is that they are really, really difficult to get out of the package. They are in a blister pack and it is so tightly sealed that you cannot get them out of the package without a scissors or some other tool. Not a huge deal for me but neither of my parents are able to do it. My mother actually cut herself when she tried to get them out.

Package too difficult for a Senior Citizen to Open - Caused Injury to fingers
The batteries are too difficult to get out of the package. They are enclosed in an extremely small package. Yes, they are in a "child resistant package" but it is Senior Resistant also. A person with arthritic hands and/or poor eyesight should not buy these batteries in this type of package. Trying to get the batteries out caused me to cut my finger.

packaging
I always use these batteries but I found that the child resistant packaging was very hard to open. This is the first time I have received this packaging. I would recomend the battery but do not get the child resistant packaging if you do not need it.
