RVLock Trek checks all the boxes!
This is the 3rd version of the RVLock I've had and it is the best one yet. This Trek replaced an RVLock Compact that we had on our kitchen entry door. While I liked the Compact, I had a few complaints like no 10 button keypad, more plastic parts than I wanted and unable to lock the deadbolt with the keypad. Though my previous v4 was heavier duty, it did not fit correctly in the door of our latest camper.Enter the RVLock Trek. This bad boy checks all the boxes on my wish list for a lock. It has a true 10 button keypad, the deadbolt and handle both lock with the keypad and it is heavy duty. Best of all, you can have it keyed alike to all your other RVLock products if you so choose. The days of having to choose between. the convenience of the keypad or security of locking the deadbolt with a key are over!A couple things I wasn't necessarily looking for, but were a bonus. The lock uses a rechargeable lithium battery for operation. They advertise that it provides 3-5 months on a single charge. That is long enough to get through the camping season in the midwest where I live. If the battery goes dead, never fear, it is rechargeable with a USB-C cable and it can be done from inside or outside the camper. Also, the Trek comes with their newly re-designed fobs that can be programmed to multiple locks. Finally, the door can be locked at the touch of a button on the inside or you can use the manual slider. The install was just as easy as the other RVLock models. In my opinion, a little easier, but that could just be because I have installed several over the past couple years. One thing for sure, the cable that connects the interior and exterior of the handle was way easier to position without crimping it while doing the install. I also like the addition of the heavier duty screws to hold the handle together. All in all, it took me about 20 minutes to remove the old Compact lock and install and program the Trek.If you are in the market for a keypad lock, do not hesitate to purchase the RVLock Trek. To those that say it is pricey, you are correct. It is not an inexpensive lock. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I do my research before purchases, especially when the price is large. I have not found a better lock than the Trek.Pros:-Handle/deadbolt can be locked with code-Latch & deadbolt are controlled with 1 key-10 individual buttons for locks-All metal construction-Covers entire hole opening in the door (v4 did not for my RV)-Lithium Ion, rechargeable battery, no battery swapping-1 Button to lock (had to use code with compact)Emergency USB-C on outside to prevent lockout-Super easy to install-Can be keyed alike to other RVLock ProductsCons (If I am being nitpicky):-Price-Latch and deadbolt are ever so slightly shorter than my RV Lock CompactI have no regrets with getting this lock. The only down side is now I want to get a second one for my bedroom entrance door.

heavy duty rv lock
I just installed this on my fifth wheel, this thing is very heavy duty I was very impressed with how well it is made. install was very easy and putting you code in was a breeze!! I do like that you don't have to replace AA battery's anymore, just plug in the cable and let it charge. the fobs are very nice also and were easy to program. overall this is a well made lock I don't think you will be disappointed buying this.

Very short bolt ! So it's a single bolt lock mechanism
It looks like there are two independent bolts for the door normal and a dead bolt like stock. But it's a single piece That has been cut for machines to look like two. The boat throw on. This device is very, very short and only clears. The Striker plate by about an eighth of an inch. It does not clear the door jam frame. Be really careful how you wind the ribbon cable when you assemble this. For the space provided to tuck it. It's very long and it's very easy to get it pinched. Small on the inside slides for a manual lock. Like a dead bolt. It's somewhat ineffective at forcing the lock mechanism all the way into the locked position .

Not worth the money if your phone doesn't work with it but still a decent door handle
*Update* they have great customer service. Although I still wasn't able to fix my issues completely they did work hard with me to try and solve them and I appreciate that from a company. Still don't think it's worth the money due to the issues I have that couldn't be fixed which is why I'm leaving it as a 4 star instead of 5. If the problems were solved if bump to a 5 due to customer service being excellent.Had to rig it up to try and get the lock to function right and have to move the door around in and out to try and get it to line up correctly in order to lock or unlock it. Besides that, it's a good lock and the keypad is nice. Says bluetooth but only for certain phones and my S24 ultra apparently isn't one of them which sucks because it would be great to use my phone to lock or unlock. Overall, it's better than my original lock but for the price the features I'm missing and the issues im having seems excessively priced. it fit fine and is easy enough to use if you can get it to line up right and the volume control is nice. Overall, could be great is all the functions worked right
