Delid Die Mate 2 AMD Adapter Kit FSD8-022

This kit is an extra part of the derbauer de-lid product. It helps to delid the AMD CPUs.

I'll be blunt and accurate with my review. The product does NOT work as intended. If the plastic piece was in fact METAL, it would. But after using all of my human might trying to delid an old 2003 chip i had wasting around, the plastic piece broke off a corner and i got 0 results.This is where i did not give up, and proceeded by adding over 300c thanks to a small blow torch and that AT LAST allowed me to delid my old test processor.Second attempt happened yesterday. I again used all of my might, and tried the same with at least 300c. No snap, no result. It is safe to say that this tool is a 100% waste to AMD customers. Do NOT buy! Until Der8auer can maybe use this tool ONCE himself and learn that it is in fact plastic trash, then steer clear and use any other method.Also, the amount of force needed to turn the hex key is disgusting. The shaft NEED to be longer, or the entire tool need a re-design to serve both types of processors properly.My next course of action will be to involve a hammer. While the plastic melts under excessive heat, it is no doubt that a hammer will assist faaaar better than this pathetic nonsense. 0 stars for being an extreme bother, EVEN when working ONCE before it broke.

I picked up a der8auer Delid Die Mate 2 and this AMD adapter kit and it worked precisely as advertised on my AMD Ryzen 5 2400g. I used the acrylic piece to scrape the glue off the IHS and PCB, as instructed and seen in videos, and it worked great. My CPU is now running up to 11c cooler overclocked to 3.95 GHz (@1.35v) on the CPU and 1575 MHz (@1.2v) on the GPU. Worked like a charm.
