Matsuko 5 Way Pond Switch Box

Let me start off by saying that I’m an electrician so wiring up panels is confined spaces is part of my everyday job. I’m building a table to house my new laser cutter and thought I could use this to control the cutter and several extraction fans. First impressions were good, it looked well made and good quality. That all changed when I started to connect the cables to the unit. The clip-in cable sockets that they make a big feature of are appalling, the cable entry holes are too small and the clips do not hold the cables securely. You have to be incredibly careful not to pull out the neutral when trying to insert the live. There is very little room in the box when trying to insert cables. After trying for 30 mins too fit the cables I gave up and unscrewed the circuit board. Even with the circuit board out it was still a fiddle to get the cables secured. You can buy an easy connection version but that costs a lot more. Very poor design and not cheap, I would look at some of the cheaper switch boxes available and save yourself a lot of hassle.

The light up screen did not work and a clip was broken inside , very disappointed
