Excellent butter - made in New Zealand - we like it better than the butter we buy in the store!
With prices going up because of shipping going through the roof, we thought it would be a good idea to stock up on essentials that will last a while. We purchased six cans of this Red Feather Creamery butter and were delighted with the quality and taste. Sure, it's a bit expensive, however Amazon Prime ships for free - and it can only go up in price. We have since purchased two 24 can boxes to store with other food essentials! We now have a nice supply of delicious New Zealand butter. I have also been giving the cans as gifts for Christmas - a perfect stocking stuffer for friends and family.... One tip, after the can is open, putting the can in the refrigerator will make it hard. We leave the can at room temperature, until consumed. Delicious!

For what it is and more.
I purchased this to add to fats I have stored for emergencies. Having a very bad heart means an emergency might be as simple as me not being able to get to the store for a week, month, maybe more. Since they finally found the problem and started treating it, a month is usually about as bad as it gets. But if butter is wanted, or needed for a recipe... Anyway. I hadn't planned on using it soon, just keeping it until near it's technical (theoretical) use-by date, then begin using them up as I replace. It ended up that I couldn't get to town and had need, and want, of butter. I opened a can, not expecting much.It smells like butter. Very nice scent. Taste was on the mild side, but quite sufficient. Further, it cooked like butter, spread on bread well, and just worked in all ways I needed it. I was quite pleased to know that my purchase was worth it. I have handed some of these out to others to try. Now I am more pleased. When they eventually use these, I think they will be grateful. Good shot, Red Feather. Thanks.

Wow, I didn't expect to be impressed!!
I am a Land O Lakes whipped butter type. I don't skimp on my butter. I'm a Heavy Cream type for my coffee...."I want CREAM and sugar please" : ) I received my order promptly and I purchased them mostly to store for bad times. I decided to open a can to try it out. Now mind you, I opened a can that I had in storage for over 5 years and I was blown away at the quality. It looked like butter, spread like butter, and tasted like butter! Now it doesn't taste as good as my normal "fresh" Land O Lakes whipped butter but, I would say 95% as good as fresh. And out of a 5-6 year old can that impressed me. So if you are looking for good long term storage, this is a good bet.

Great butter, however prices have jumped sharply in a week
I have been buying this for a decade. It's great.I knocked a star off because they have raised the price by $40 in the last two weeks, I think due to the news.

This butter is amazing!
It's a bit spendy, I think, but it's the best butter I've ever had and will last ages since it's canned. The flavor is phenomenal. All you out there who have this quality of butter all the time, I'm jealous of you!

Buyer Beware - This Seller Refuses to Replace Spoiled, Inedible Product
Have ordered previously and enjoyed the product. However, on this second order of 24 cans, upon opening the first can, the product spewed out from between the lid and can and was white, foam-like, whipped and frothing, with oily splotches of yellow. After a week or so, and after consuming some of it, it became moldy, disgusting, and obviously inedible (see photo). I asked the seller for a replacement case after a second can was in exactly the same condition, and I sent them pics of the inedible, moldy "butter". They refused, telling me just, "store it in a room with cold temperatures". Now I have 24 cans of what should have been delicious creamery butter that I have to pitch into the trash. I am a cook and have previously enjoyed cooking with this product (the first order in 2019), and now have to find another source for creamery butter. Quote from my most recent reply to the seller: "The butter is INEDIBLE, as I have repeatedly pointed out. It tastes oily, terribly salty, and borderline rancid. It turns to mold within a week or so of opening it. It is GARBAGE at this point. Telling me that "The photo indicates that the butter has been subject to high temperatures causing separation. Hence you should store it in a room with cold temparature [sic]." is moot and of no help, and I told you it had been stored since June in a cool-temp wine cave atmosphere. If you mean refrigerate it, it has been refrigerated after opening. But again, moot point. I will never order butter from your company again. So, now you have a 1-star pictorial negative review instead of a satisfied, return customer if you were to give me a replacement case. Bad way to do business, Tim!"[Note: I attempted to attach 2 more pics than the one shown, but they wouldn't take. They show the blanched, frothy texture upon opening w/o the lid, and the mold after 7-10 days.]

You want great butter AFTER grocery stores are boarded up..
Irrespective of all the accompanying digs my case of Red Feather Canned Butter arrived in outstanding condition. It was boxed in three separate cardboard cases. The cans were in spotless condition with zero dents of any type.i opened a single can and found the contents to be soft, as good tasting as any butter I can remember, light in salt taste, and while the cost isn't inexpensive neither is high end, freeze dried, nutritious, food. Hopefully the dark years ahead will have subsided before the 15 year shelf life comes round.
