I use these to mount PTZ cams to rolling lightstands. They are SOLID and fit perfectly!

Quality design and sturdy, would buy again

I needed this to adapt the end of a C stand to hold my camera. The only thing that would make this better is to have the little hand twist on the side that rotates the screw into the camera. It’s pretty difficult to just spin your camera on every single time and I also worry about stripping my cameras mount plate

EXACTLY what I needed for several specialty items I had to put on C-stand because of space access. Mounted necessary heads to mount PTZ cameras. Just what the doctor ordered.

I hesitated to purchase this... it's yet another thing to carry… but I'm glad I did! It's smaller than I pictured, but not in a bad way, as in you can toss it in a bag and always have it on hand. It's also light, I think aluminum but it also seems sturdy as none of the metal is too thin that there should be a problem, hoping it holds up!

Every once in a while something comes along that improves your life in a small, almost unnoticeable way, and this is one of those things. I've been mounting my camera to my c-stand for overhead shots using my tripod head, but without much support (just attaching the head to the end of the stand, or using a rapid adapter convert attached to a baby pin on the grip head). It's worked well, but I'm always worried about hanging $5000 worth of equipment at the end of it. I saw this and decided to give it a try, and I am really glad I did. I use a Neewer tripod head and it fits well on the base of this baby ball head adapter. It feels really solidly attached, and I appreciate this has the three extra screws for added security. I also appreciate that this is able to be used as widely as the rapid adapter convert - on top of a light stand or C stand base, at the end of a c stand boom arm, or attached to a baby pin on a c stand grip head. The baby pin option is my favorite as it allows for the most versatility of movement. I also like that this is an all metal construction, including the handle to tighten it onto your stand. It feels very robust and offers some peace of mind. Look, this isn't going to be a life changing item. It's a niche product to address a very specific need, but I love how well it allows me to attach my camera for overhead shots, and the price is great for a very sturdy, quite versatile piece of equipment. I wanted to get these mounts for a while. I have several standard light stands, a few C-stands, and some offset arms with 16mm baby pins, which this adapter is designed for. I use the stands to hold lights, but I wanted to use them to hold Cameras and other things too. I am in Germany, and I could not find this type of mount on Amazon before. When I saw it available, I had to buy it. I ordered 3 to try them out. They worked exactly as intended, but they also work in ways that I did not intend. I used 1 adapter to mount a camera crane I had lying around onto a c stand, and it worked. The crane with the camera and weights is probably about 5 KG / 10 lbs, and the item description says it can hold up to 11 lbs. I was a little unsure if it would work, but the weight is perfectly centered and it seems to hold it without a problem. It would be nice if there was a more heavy duty version of this adapter designed to hold 20 KG, but this one seems to be able to hold a bit of weight as long as the weight is centered. If its holding something heavy and the weight is not centered, then it could potentially break, so be careful of this. I used another one of the adapters to attach a projector tray to make a makeshift mini table for holding things. The other one I attached a 3 way tripod head for mounting a camera. All 3 adapters worked perfectly. So in conclusion, these things are awesome and they are a must have for anyone who has c-stands or even regular lightstands. I was so satisfied with the adapter that I ordered 2 more, and I might even order them again because these things are super useful 😄
