Great cushioning, a bit off from the sound quality!
well, I thought that sennheiser would be way better in these headphones, but I was disappointed a bit!First of all this model is a very old one, so I can consider that the sound improvement compared to today's best selling headphones would be way too lowerStarting with the positive side, the cushioning on the headphones are really great, I was reading the reviews and people said that "these were too tight and not comfortable" I would disagree with that statement, these intact fit really well and they are over- ear headphones, which means that they would cover your entire ear with the cushioning, after wearing for an hour, the headphones felt really light on my head , I thought that they were not on my ears!comfort aside, the main thing: sound quality,These headphones were not great ! that's for sure! Because I tested these with my iPad pro, I compared these with my xb450, shl3000 and sennheiser sounded way lower than them, the bass is kinda decent, not considering the price though, because for the retailing price, these should either pack some good sound signature or some bass! Both were moderate, I thought that these were sound-monitoring headphones, though they did some good job on monitoring! I can't decide were these headphones fall on! Whether commercial, studio-grade, casual use these intend to lack on any of them, I tested with different genres, and the sound seems to be a bit shy to come out!The build quality is fantastic! The plastic is great, the cushion material is so soft and firm! the swilling earcups are maintained well, and the branding is minimal , design might be a bit weird ..but these are made for studio/home use and not for outside purposes, the cable is 3m and the quality is decent! the input of the cable is gold plated and you are getting a fantastic carrying pouch which I really liked it, they were feeling so plush and leathery!! you'll also get a 6.3 mm audio jack for amps and DJ device, I played these headphones with my amp and they sounded decent , the sound quality was good compared to handheld, PC devices...Overall these sound decent for the given price, I would consider the company to lower the price to around 1500-2000! because these are an old pair of headphones ,released in 2010!

Great product. Ordered on 12
Great product. Ordered on 12.Aug.2017. Received on 14.Aug.2017Sennheiser is a reputed brand. I have previously used the HD 180. Was confused between HD 202 & HD 205.Finally chose this HD 205 headset. The ear cups are little small compared to HD 180 & after nearly 2 months of usage I still feel this headset is a bit tight. May be it will still take time to loosen up.Comparison with HD 180SOUND: The HD 205 is more crisp. Has good bass & treble. The sound is louder & much better than HD 180. Surely a good upgrade.BUILD: More sturdy & reliable than HD 180. Also the single wire feels more premium compared to the double wire setup of HD 180Just remember that this is a little smaller & tighter setup. More of an on-ear than over ear headset. For pro-longed usage I found HD 180 better. Hopefully, this headset will get better with time.

Good quality but bad comfort
The sound quality is good. I'm surprised at the loudness of the headphone. I hardly keep system volume at 40% and still it is loud.Even the mic is good for video calls. I use it during my work for MS Teams video calls and the mic is very clear. The main issue with the headphone is that after 20 mins your ears start hurting. If you are planning to buy this for team calls generally less than 30 mins then go for it. But if you are planning to buy it for movies, better look for other options since ears start hurting like hell after 45mins.

Great
Been using it for nearly a month now and enjoying it.The sound, as expected from a Sennheiser, is really really good. Please don't get into technicalities. If you are a music lover and on a budget then go for these. Use it for atleast 15-20 days before forming an opinion. If you have been using highbass/extra bass headphones prior to using these, as I have done, you will understand the difference. The clarity in this Sennheiser is far higher and you will hear notes you never thought existed in the music, believe me.There are a few cons too though. One, the cord is very very long and you have to keep a big portion of it rolled up while using the phone to prevent it from getting entangled. Anyway, thats a minor headache. Some people, I guess people with big heads, may find the headphone a bit too tight for comfort. For me the fit was perfect and that enhanced the listening pleasure. Sennheiser HD206 which I brought for my daughter at the same time is far more comfortable, but soundwise this is way ahead.

Good Overall quality and sound
The headphone is a bit tight on the head if your head is big. Inspite of being tight the oitside sound isolation is not good. The ear cups are soft but can get itchy in warm surroundings. Built quality is good and sturdy as the brand has always been at its best. I have been using this brand since I was 16. The sound is great but bass is not how much bass lovers would like it to be but even with high bass songs it performs well and does not hurt the ear at high treble.Good overall product on the whole but its a bit pricey.
