I rarely review items (don't have the time, sadly) and don't trust many reviews I read either. I bought this with some trepidation. I didn't want the tripod ones (too big a footprint) as I wanted something to sit behind the sofa. Most of the metal plated stands are around or over £50 and that's simply too much for what it is. I came across this and thought it couldn't be up to much, given the price. Well, I'm pleased to say I am wrong.Loved the weight of the package before opening it - offered reassurance up front. I'd also like to say it is packaged really well, protecting the components from rubbing against or hitting each other in transit - really well done there guys. The floor plate (with 4 large soft feet) is a nice weight and full metal. The hole that allows a bolt to connect to the pole is genius really. It's not round but shaped in a way where the bolt only goes in one way and doesn't move - thereby offering more strength in its connection. Simple but genius. The 2 section pole is a nice weight and feels solid with a solid feeling thread join - again in metal. It's lovely to see so little plastic.The only plastic is the wheel that holds the internal extension section. Works as should. The little piece that sits on top and fits to the projector feels stable enough. Adjust it to suit the angle you want the projector at and tighten - very simple. This piece is the bit I think would fail first. I won't be looking to adjust it often. The rest looks like it should last a lifetime. It took a few minutes to put it all together - couldn't be easier.I took the time to write this as I think it's important that people have a realistic review of products. Anyone describing this as rubbish are clearly idiots or work for competitors and are fake.It has a weight limit of a few pounds so is not designed for very heavy projectors. That being said, mine is 2.5lbs and it takes it without issue. I'm sure it could hold twice this, although the manufacturer has limited it to a few pounds just.All in all - fantastic value for money - excellent design and materials and well done all those involved.

I bought this looking for a suitable stand for my LO18 projector. Use it most nights and it’s been great whenever I’ve had to move the base or the top the make smaller adjustments.The stand is stable and the top hasn’t fallen down despite the projector being quite heavy. The flat base is also great for sliding it under the bed and not having it as a trip hazard like standard legs would.I didn’t give it 5 stars because the top does feel a little flimsy at times and I worry about it breaking at some point, but I’m not making massive adjustments in the hope it stays sturdy for as long as possible. I believe this was one of the cheaper kinds of stand too, so won’t penalise it too much! Regardless, it’s good value for money so would recommend if someone is looking for a cheap but functional stand that saves on space a little bit!

I had bought a different stand (bedside type) from another platform which turned out wobbly and not very steady. My attempt to return the product met a brick wall as I was going to be charged for the return, which I thought outrageous.I came back to Amazon and found this luckily. I particularly like the heavy flat base, which on level ground, stays level. Also the adjustability helps for when one might need to get the projector to a higher or lower level.Finally, the flat base was my choice as it uses up less ground space compared to the tripod-type projector stands.I am quite happy with this purchase and would be having it for a long time.
