This is a great little machine, it's just perfect for my use. I looked at a lot of different MIG welders, but what sold me on this one was first of all, it's dual-voltage, so I can get my amperage up over that 140 mark by connecting to 220. It seems that 140 amps. falls just short of being able to effectively weld a little bit thicker metal, but with this machine, you can get it all the way up to 155 by connecting to 220 volts, in case I had to weld something just a little bit heavier. But also, really important to me was, I wanted to have something that was very small and very lightweight. Most of the mig welders that I looked at, once you get into the 220 volt range the welders get much heavier to cart around. I have a big family and I'm always trying to patch things up at the kids houses. This is so easy to move and so easy to work with that I was sold on trying this machine. I'm very pleased with its performance and ease of use. The dual voltage is also perfect in case I have to go to the kids house and they can't hook up a dryer cord for 220 volts, I just use 110. I love the fact that I can use flux core in a pinch if I have to, although mig is my preferred choice. Trying to think of all the things that I like about it, it was just so simple to connect. I don't think it took me 10 minutes from the time I open the box to the time I started welding. It's perfect for someone that's not a professional, that doesn't do it all the time and that wants portability. I'm very pleased and I highly recommend it .

I’ve been welding for about 9 years now, I’ve used everything from high dollar multiprocess Miller welders, to spoolgun wire feeds from the 80’s. I’m VERY impressed by this little machine. Dual voltage is very nice and easy to use, I’ve ran it on 240v and 120v now both work well. Currently running a 75/25 mix of Argon CO2 with ER70S-6 wire. It runs smoothly, only issue I had was getting the roller tension set initially, it would barely feed and then take off on me randomly until I I got it dialed in. I’m planning on running some scratch start TIG on it eventually to see how it does, but for a cheap little pocket MIG it does great. It fits perfectly on the $20 welding cart you can get from Harbor Freight too.

I am a novice welder and have only used my machine a couple of times - will try to update the review when I've had more time with it. From a specs/versatility and price perspective this machine seems like it will provide good bang for the buck. The manual is not great which led to some newby mistakes on my part. Hopefully these notes will be of use to someone out there who is just starting out as well. I was setting up for gasless flux with the provided wire and was having wire feed issues. I called support and a live person answered and they were really nice and helpful. 5 stars for support - wish I got the name so I could give him props. The unit ships with two wire drive wheels - I had used the smooth one where I should have used the toothed one. Also make sure you use the right groove based on wire size. Finally, the unit ships with two springs for the wire reel - use the light one. Even that may be too much in which case you can adapt the heavy one to correct the tension - would have likely been better to just have some sort of screw tension adjustment on the unit. With the help from tech support, I think I'll be in decent shape. Overall happy with unit so far. It's lightweight and seems like it will meet my needs and have ability to learn tig as well and use 110 or 220v.

Kick ass little welder small light at easy to move versatile yet great welding capability. Super happy with this welder . If your shopping around for a bigger welder 120&240 v this is the one yes can weld 1/4 plate with this little machine .I just .fabricated a new rear frame for 2001 silverado 8.1 with this little machine . Works flawlessly I built a two 110 cords to one 220 crank this machine all the way up heat and speed lil slow but welds 1/4 no problem good penetration . Frame is now stronger than it was factory.I made a good buy with this little machine. For any of the people that say this machine is a piece of junk have no idea how to weld in the first place ! I'm telling you I'm impressed this will be the traveling welder to go to our mud run and races I can weld anything automotive with this welder with ease just as good as someone else could with a high end machine this one only weighs what 15 lbs . Amazing great job to the engineers at weldpro!!!! A+++

I used this welder to repair a corroded rusty gate to my home. I have used older style stick welders before but this MIG welder with the Argon gas tank attachment was great. I also ordered the welding mask, welding wire, & a grinder with a newer type grinding wheel that smoothed my welding joints down perfectly. If I would have purchased a new steel gate the cost would have been 1,000 dollars. So buying these products from Amazon saved me a lot of money in order to get this job done properly at this time. Plus I can now do future welding jobs as well.
