Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Holiday Countdown Calendar by Playmates Toys

I’m an adult who grew up with tmnt cartoons so I bought this as a fan of the franchise but also because it is a great value and I love toys. It is a really good collection of tmnt toys providing two versions of each turtle, vehicles (note wheels do not move), splinter, April (horrible design), a robot turtle and villains: a foot soldier, shredder, krang. Figures are 2.5 inch scale similar to imaginext and playskool heroes toys for toddlers/preschoolers.These figures originally came out around 2015 along with a cartoon called half shell heroes and I believe were $8 for 2 figures. As such you can look for more villain characters via second hand but they will be much more expensive.Negatives: the designs work well for the turtles but not as good for human characters like shredder, April, and the foot soldier - their fists and feet are just too large. The box was ripped and smashed in my first order but was able to return to Amazon and order it again. The second one was fine.There arent enough villains. I wouldve preferred if they skipped the other versions of the turtles and gave more foot soldiers but I understand that kids might not be impressed with getting multiple foot soldiers.Other considerations: there is another advent calendar out there called nano metalfigs which includes 24 tiny non-posable diecast figures which includes all the main characters along with multiple foot soldiers, etc for about $15. I think that would be a better gift for adult tmnt fans.

This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles holiday countdown calendar was a pleasant surprise! It’s rare to find an advent calendar with this much quality and excitement. The figures included were premium and some we hadn’t seen before, which was a fun treat for my kids. It really brought back the nostalgia of the old-school TMNT days, and they loved the daily reveals. Highly recommend for any TMNT fan.

We've done various Countdown Calendars over the years and have ALWAYS been underwhelmed. This year, with this Countdown Calendar, it wasn't just our little one that was surprised by the quality of toys this thing had. Literally toy after toy, my wife and I remarked about how cool and high quality these toys were. The value is outstanding. We never pay so little and get so much for anything. Thank you for this product!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect based on the $20 price tag when I bought it, but this was awesome. I was afraid that the quality would be bad, but the figures are super cute and my 7 year old son has really enjoyed opening these up each day. I bought several countdown calendars, from candy and chocolate to the Funko pop one but the only one that he is actually interested in opening each day is this one. Definitely recommend it!

I get my son an advent calendars every year. I usually get the Lego ones but wanted to switch it up. He is a TMNT phase right now so that's what I wanted to get him. This advent calendar has to be one of the best ones hes ever had. I know it says there are stickers but we're on day 18 and we only got stickers 1 time so far. He has been so excited every single time he opens it! Highly recommend!

I got this as a last minute advent calendar so that my (21m old) toddler could participate with his siblings each day. We were pleasantly surprised! Great little figures 90% of the time (a few days of skateboards or pizza) that could be played with. He LOVED it and asked to do it everyday- and learned a new word: “turtle”! My 5.5yo son says he wants this same one next year!Highly recommend!

My granddaughter is obsessed with ninja Turtles and she loved finding a new toy every day. The only thing I recommend is sturdier cardboard. She could easily peek to see which toy she would get the next day.

The toys are nice quality, with arms and legs that move. I was actually surprised at how nice they are! Day 1 starts off with a TMNT figure which was SUPER exciting for my little one. The only downside is that they are packaged in clear plastic so you can look inside and see all the toys you’ll be getting in the coming days. My 6 yr old figured this out right away.
