what material is used to pack the product?

Can you still tan with this or is it a sun block?

Hi Kylie, this is not a sunbl;ock. It's designed to be a safe (harmless ingredients, and giving good protection from damaging UVA & UVB rays), effective sunscreen, but as an SPF25 it will still allow 4% of UVB rays in (B - the rays that 'burn'), so used wisely it could (and has for other customers) allowed them to build up a tan over time without the risk of burning. Please remember sunscreen is designed to help you enjoy some sun with exposed skin for a limited amount of time together with other sun protection methods, such as clothing etc - reading our latest blog post on Natural Sunscreen use will hep you to understand what Shade can be and can't be expected to do. It was born to help people who couldn't enjoy the sun through allergies to mainstream sunscreen ingredients enjoy some sun without the cemicals and irritants. If you aim to be in the sun for long periods of time, in order to build up a tan, then it is possible Shade All-Natural Sunscreen may not be entirely suitable for you. How many applications approximately are in a 200ml tin?

Hi Maria, this is very hard to say, similar to the "How long is a piece of string?" - there are many variables - is it for one person, several people, just the face and arms or whole body? We think this size is suitable for a family of four for a one/two week holiday, but how long is spent in the sun and how many people are sharing it, whether it's all-over or just small surface areas are factors that need consideration. The cream does go a long way, but will need reapplication several times per person and especially if being used when in and out of water or sweating. Also, please remember SPF25 means you can spend up to 25 times more time in the sun than you usually would before burning without any protection in the conditions in which you are currently in...and that is also variable on skin type. We highly recommend that the very best sun protection is real shade - whether created by clothing, hats or being indoors during the height of the day 11am-3pm.
