Q: How many millimetres do these raise the furniture by?

Just measured the height of my bed from the carpet, it is approx 30mm, as they have been on the bed for a while they have gone into the carpet so the height would be greater if on a hard floor. I purchased them as direct replacements for the wheels that are supplied as they dig into the carpet and make the bed/furniture difficult to move for cleaning etc. I didn't think that they were designed to raise them up as they are not adjustaable.

Hi Michael - I bought these to replace standard castors on a bed and are fantastic. They are not adhesive but slot into the hole where the original castors were. You may be able to get others that are adhesive

Q: Do you just pull out a caster on the bed and replace it with this glider or do you have to put a new sleeve in first?

You need the metal sleeve from your old caster (the metal tube with spikes which grips to the bed to base). Some came off when I pulled my casters off but just remove from the casters and push them back in the holes before putting your new mushroom glides on. These have been a fantastic buy! Especially as we gave hard flooring in my daughters bedroom.

Q: I want something to attach to existing my sofa legs to raise them by one inch—would these work for that purpose?
