Ironman Men's Original Shock 42 mm Digital Watch

Very slightly smaller than I anticipated but overall a very nice watch - for me it’s Timex best rival to all of the Casio G Shocks!

If you're going for functional and sturdy, this watch is pretty much the perfect package. It's just the right size for my wrist, not too big, not like a diver's watch. It's lightweight, but still feels quite sturdy, and I now worry about it, regardless of the environment or activity. Very easy to use, I've never had to break out the manuel. When changing settings or time, the display tells you which secondary function each button has, very logical and simple. The indiglo functions works perfectly. Not too bright, won't kill your night vision. It's not fancy looking, functions triumphs over form with this one, and that was exactly what I was looking for. Get a flimsy dress watch as a second watch, and you're set with this one for everything else.

I work in an environment where watches get knocked about regularly. I have got fed up with g shock, the prices are rising, the last one I had kept misting and it was heavy. I chose to depart to this timex ironman i had seen others surviving well at work. I had previously had a timex marathon and liked its ease of use. This watch is good easy to use and uncomplicated. It does what it says for a good price. It feels a bit cheaper than a g shock in terms of materials and buttons but has stood up eaqually well to being dropped, trod on, pulled and scraped. I even covered it in army green vehicle paint last week (by accident)which i then removed with white spirit and there is harldy an impact. In the £30-40 bracket I doubt you will find better, if you do let me know.

Good value sports watch for a keen / occasional runner and swimmer. Really easy to set, and see the screen. Only disappointment is the beep signal at the end of timer sessions - it simply beeps once, my old cheap Casio continued until you re-set which was useful in the pool . Black looks great on the arm, but tricky to find in bottom of the sports bag...... It appears to be waterproof, ( so far ) but time will tell.

Must be the 4th or 5th one of these I've had. Useful sports watch mainly for the stopwatch (which is not quite as advanced as the original version 20 years ago, its lost the countdown-countup function which was useful for race starts). Velcro strap works well under or over all sorts of clothing/kit. They eventually get lost or the batteries die (after 5-10 years typically), or get drowned (not entirely watertight at 30m dive depth it seems, but worked until it was back on the surface, full of water!).

Having previously owned exactly the same model of watch, I was fully aware of the multitude of features available. Buying another can only be regarded as a massive endorsement of this excellent product. What should really be applauded is the fact that delivery was 2 days ahead of schedule, even though only standard P&P was used. I can't praise the service highly enough. Thank you.

Buttons keep sticking, constantly beeping, can't stop stopwatch, overall terrible. If i could give it zero stars i would.

This watch is great. As name suggests is sturdy, sporty, rugged & handles outdoor activities / sports well but also the plain black is very smart making it suitable for office etc.. LOVE IT !
