Not perfect but it has saved me a lot of work. I feel it is worth the price.
Review after 3 weeks. We have the Shart RV2829YE robot vacuum. A little background: We have a 2400sqft single level house. About 50/50 between hard surface (engineered wood and tile in the bathrooms) and very good quality carpet about 8 years old. My wife and I are retired and we have a German Shepard (German Shedder) dog. Before buying the robot vacuum, I needed to vacuum about every 5 to 7 days. By day 3 we would start having "fur balls" lining our main hall and light scattering of dog hair over all the hard surfaces. We often would do a quick dust mop along the hall edges to tame the fur balls. I usually would mop after vacuuming. I found with using the robot vacuum nearly everyday, reduced my workload. I just did a manual whole house vacuum after nearly three weeks of letting the robot vacuum clean the floors. Real world findings are that we dramatically less fur balls along the hall way and much less dog hair scattered around. We also noticed that walking barefoot in the kitchen, we rarely stepped on the little hard crumbs that we would routinely encounter a few days after a manual cleaning. THE BOTTOM LINE for me is that I spend 5 minutes going around the house prepping for the robot to clean (chairs on tables, picking up odds and ends, etc (same thing I do to vacuum) and then I can go about my day. I have been doing that most days and we have a pretty clean house and (almost) no fur balls - it isn't perfect. PROS: - Everyday cleaner floors overall - not perfect, but better without a lot of work on my part. - Reduced workload for me. - No more fur balls - including fewer fur balls under furniture. We have a hallway table that when I vacuumed after 5 to 7 days would always have significant fur balls under it. I have not seen any since using the robot, including today when I did a whole house vacuum (after 3 weeks of all robot cleaning). I don't have an explanation, it is just my experience. - While doing a whole house vacuum today (getting ready for a herd of family members for Easter), I had the robot mop the floors as I finished vacuuming. That was nice and saved me some work. It did nearly as good a job as I would have done. The dog tracked in muddy paw prints and the robot cleaned all of them. - Reasonably quiet. We don't run it at night in our house but if we had two or more floors, I am sure it would be quiet enough. - It has only gotten stuck once - under the dinning room table with all the chairs on the floor. We have a wooden HVAC vent in the floor and it got hung up on in between a table leg and chair leg. If I put the chairs on the table it does fine. CONS: - As you might imagine, it does the least satisfactory job along the edges and in corners. Long straight walls, ir works well, nooks and cranny's, not so well. - On the carpet, I estimate the robot gets about 40% to 50% of the fur compared to a manual vacuum. But it gets it every day so I think it is a good trade off. - It struggles in our home office. We have two desks that it can get under (which is good because it cleans an area that is impossible to get the manual vacuum into. However, our rolling office chairs seem to baffle it, and it can seem to get lost trying to find a way around them. I have not found a solution except to move the chairs into another room. I could make the desk and chair areas NO GO AREAS but that defeats the purpose... - You can have it vacuum individual rooms / areas or mop individual rooms/areas. If you want to vacuum and mop, your only choice is the entire mapped house. That seem like an easy fix in the app. - It maps the entire house as one floor plan. You have to go in and draw lines in the app to separate rooms (i.e. bedroom from hallway). The apples does not make that easy to do with a fat finger... A stylus might work better. TIPS: - It is critical to prepare your house for the mapping exercise. I mapped twice and may map a third time as I keep learning and observing it work. I have learned to put all of the chairs on top of the table, the kitchen stools on the breakfast bar. We have a piano bench and we put that on an easy chair, pick up shoes in the closet, etc. The more stuff you get off the floor, the better the map job will be, Once it is mapped, if it encounters a shoe or a chair, it simply works around the obstacle. But if the obstacle is present during the map exercise, the robot may never vacuum there. Same thing with throw rugs. It will map the position of a throw rug. It will vacuum the throw rug but it will not mop the throw rug. But if you pick up the throw rug after mapping and then ask it to mop, it will not mop the area the throw rug sits. However if you pick up the throw rugs during mapping, then ask it to mop that area, it will mop the area the throw rug normally sits or will avoid mopping the throw rug if it is present. Speaking of throw rugs, we have an assortment; bath mat type with 1''x1/8th" long soft fibers, and normal soft rug and a smaller lightweight but thick bath mat. The lightweight, thick bathmat is the only one to cause an issue. It is thick enough that the robot bumps into it and then pushes it around instead of moving on top of it. I just pick it up. The raised transitions between the engineered floor and the tile batch rooms are not an issue EXCEPT that is does not get the doghair that is right next to the transition strip. I have less room around the dock that is recommended but it has never been an issue.

So Much Better than Roomba!!!!! Quiet!!
I was skeptical about this vacuum. How could a product that is 1/3 the cost of a Roomba be as good? I have a 2,700 sq ft hours but only use the robot for the main areas. I keep the bedrooms closed as a housekeeper takes care of vacuuming those every two weeks. Most of my house is tile floors and I have three small dogs that shed very little. I've owned a Roomba 960 for about 5 years and was constantly frustrated with it. It got stuck regularly and almost never completed a full cycle. Additionally, we would often turn it off because the noise was so obnoxious. We couldn't run it at night because of the noise and I work from home on regular Zoom calls so I couldn't run it during the day either so the only time available was to run it in the evenings and the noise was too much to deal with while trying to watch TV or even have a conversation. Finally, I had to replace the battery about 4 times and the aftermarket batteries don't work well and the Roomba batteries are seriously expensive. So....when I saw this Shark, I was skeptical of the price and quality. BUT I WAS WRONG!! THIS IS AN AMAZING PRODUCT!. It is very quiet so I can run it during the day, evening or night with no problems. It rarely gets stuck and only stops when it gets a stick my dogs bring in from the back yard stuck in the roller. I'm OK with that! I now run it every day. The brushes run slower than a Roomba but there is logic to that as they do a great job of moving the debris into the path of the roller. The roller-brush (only one) is much narrower than a Roomba but because the brushes do such a good job of guiding the debris, that doesn't seem to matter. The docking station with the automatic emptying processes works incredibly well. Once the Shark's bin is full, it returns to the docking station and the vacuum (very strong) in the docking station sucks out the debris into a large cup that I only have to empty about once a week. It then goes right back to where it left off and continues its cycle. When the battery runs low, it returns to the docking station, empties the bin and charges. Once the Shark is recharged, it goes right back to where it left off again and continues the cycle. The mapping program seems to work very well and I love that the Shark uses a more logical vacuuming pattern compared to the Roomba. I honestly can't think of any negatives. I would like to be able to just pause the Shark while I'm on a call instead of returning it to the station but that isn't a big deal since its so quiet. If you are looking for a good robot vacuum and don't want to shell out close to $1,000 for a similar Roomba, this is your product!

Ya había probado este producto en USA y me encanto, por lo que intente probar en Mexico, pero no existe la aplicación aquí por lo que la funcionalidad está muy limitada, creo que optaré por otra marca que si cuente con la aplicación en Mexico para mis próximas compras
