Great Vacuum Cleaner for All Floors
This is a great vacuum cleaner. We previously tried a Shark Navigator, but found it to be very hard to push on carpet. My wife could not push it at all. Bear in mains that this is not a self propelled model. We tried bleeding off suction, and that did not work. We ended up calling Shark customer service and we were told that this model had a reputation of being hard to push on carpet. Wish we had known this information before we bought one. When we buy a vacuum cleaner, we want one that will do all types of flooring. This Stratos model is lighter and easy to push on carpet. Also works well on tile and hardwood floors. The only negative is that it will not stand up on it’s own, unless you lean it against a wall. That is a small thing and something we can easily live with. It does have a small container for debris, but emptying it is easy. The suction is good. No problem collecting just about anything on the floors.

Shark vacuum amazing suction
My shark that I have had for 20 years finally bit the dust I purchased this shark because I have two dogs that leave Hair everywhere. This is an amazing vacuum. It picks up the hair off our wood floors and the handpiece for the furniture is amazing all the hair comes up. I recommend it 10+. It’s easy to use, easy to empty the dirt. Lightweight it’s amazing.

Really sucks great!
Very easy to maneuver, and very lightweight. Love that. Also powerful, cleans well. We have an older Labrador and a longhair cat hair is an issue. The cord is long enough to do 5 rooms and not unplug! But it is very stiff (husband says because the cord is cheaply made. I like the ease the vacuum goes between carpet and hard floors. Dust cup is small, I knew it would be when I ordered it no surprise, but the dust cup is hard to remove for emptying. Someone with small hands may have a difficult time. Easy to take the dust cup apart to clean the filters. Also easy to take apart for cleaning furniture, corners and steps. I recommend this vac and would buy it again! Lots of power, really sucks!

Solid Vacuum
We bought this to replace our Kenmore canister vacuum, which was more replacement parts than original. We bought this because it was well rated on Consumer Reports. We needed something that could handle area rugs and wood floors while not taking up too much space in our small apartment. I agree with other reviews that the cord is very stiff. Does this negatively affect the vacuum? No, but it's worth mentioning. I do wish the cord was either on a swivel or that it retracted into the vacuum, since the cord position does make it awkward to wrap the cord for storage since the cord at the top of the handle will be pulled 180 degrees downwards. It makes me worried about wear and tear as time goes on. The vacuum is very lightweight. I do agree though that due to the bulk of the weight being at the top near the handle, it does put some strain on your hand as you maneuver. It's not world-ending though. People complain about the size of the canister. I don't care that it's "small". I can see how full it is and it's really easy to empty and re-insert. Takes less than a minute, so it doesn't really interrupt my vacuuming. On the old Kenmore, we often didn't realize the bag was full and would keep using it anyways since we'd have to physically open the case to check the bag status. It's nice to easily see how much the Shark has picked up and when it's time to empty. The Shark is very powerful. The first time we used it on the rug, it picked up so much dirt that our Kenmore had been missing, even with adjusting the pile level. I typically chose either the rug or hard floor setting on the vacuum -- the sensor mode does an OK job, but sometimes it will switch floor types which won't always be the best setting to use. I personally don't like the odorizer. I have it on the lowest odor setting possible. Thankfully the smell dissipates quickly. Overall, for $200, this is a good vacuum. If it were to break in 2-3 years, I wouldn't be too upset and would just purchase another.

A Great Upgrade!
This is my second Shark corded Stick Vacuum and this one is a couple step up from the basic model, so easy to assemble. The minute it was out of the box I had to use it. Mind you I cleaned today with my older Hoover today. Oh my gosh does our carpet look great, lots of suction and love the new brush! Our carpet has never felt so good! I was impressed at the length of the power cord. This model sits lower than the other model and it glides over the carpet also it's quiet! Well worth the money that we paid for it. This will make vacuuming much easier.

Powerful suction for a lightweight vacuum
This is my second Shark vacuum cleaner - I thought the first one did a good job, but this one does a great job. The suction is incredibly powerful for such a lightweight vacuum. It does a good job getting up dust and pet hair, too. The self-propelled feature is also powerful, maybe a bit too powerful because it wants to move quickly. The cord length is ample. I wish it had more tools - it only comes with three. I have used the removable handheld vacuum as well as the floor stick - both are easy to use. My only minor complaint is that the dust bin is a little more difficult to empty - the release lever doesn't open and automatically "dump" the contents. You have to pull the cup open which requires two hands. I do recommend this item.

Absolutely fantastic corded stick vacuum It's actually quieter than most & extremely talented.
This is a review of Shark POWERDETECT Ultra-Light Corded Stick Vacuum with DuoClean, Self-Cleaning Brushroll for No Hair Wrap, Anti-Allergen Complete Seal, and Odor Neutralizer Technology, HZ4002, Compact, Eggplant I have purchased and returned several stick vacuums recently but this one is The One and a keeper. Not sure I have ever fallen in love with a stick vacuum before but this is possibly my first time. It is just an all-around fantastic vacuum. Out of the box it is very easy to assemble. Literally takes less than 5 minutes to open the box, take the parts out and put it together. Three tools are included; Crevice Tool, Upholstery Tool and Pet Power Brush. Also included is an Odor Neutralizer Technology Cartridge which you can choose to use or not. I actually like the scent and it really does help eliminate that "I'm vacuuming so ignore the smell" smell that you usually get. When it will eventually need to be replaced in a few months it is easy to do.. You can hang the crevice tool and the upholstery tool off the main vertical aluminum tube of the vacuum and that makes it easy to grab a tool when you need it rather than searching for it in the closet. The Pet Power Brush is too large to travel with the vacuum. That tool works really well though. The vacuum itself has dual brushes and wow, they are so effective. I spilled rice all over the floor and this vacuum grabbed every single piece of rice with no going. back and forth for 5 minutes. One swipe forward and one swipe backwards and it got all the rice off the floor. Every other vacuum I've ever owned would push the rice around and it would have taken much longer. Just forget about expecting other vacuums to suck it up when you're pulling the vacuum backwards. This one is effective forwards and backwards. It's actually amazing. This vacuum is so much quieter than any other vacuum I've owned. I mean, it is a vacuum and is not whisper quiet, but it is definitely not a jet engine in your living room either. It's just not nearly as obnoxious as most vacuums are. I am sick and tired of cordless devices that constantly need to be recharged. Cordless Vacuums in particular never seem to run more than 15 minutes if you're lucky before needing to be recharged. And Cordless vacuums do not have as much suction. This is corded so never needs to be recharged. It's more powerful too and has a very long cord so you can get more done in less time and don't have to be unplugging and re-plugging in the cord all the time. The "Detect" feature really works. You can go from concrete floor to rug and the machine automatically adjusts the brushes RPM. It works flawlessly for me. If you want you can override the Detect feature and manually choose Carpet or Hard surface. The cord, while it is nice is long, is also nice and stiff. Especially right out of the box it is somewhat kinked at each bend but if you spend a few minutes to reverse bend the kinks, it will make your life much more pleasant. The cord is attached to the vacuum at the top part of the handle so it does not get in your way when you vacuum. I've had other machines in which the cord goes into the machine near the bottom somewhere and the cord is always getting in my way when I vacuum. The dust collection cup has a smallish capacity but it is so easy to take it off to empty that I don't consider that an issue to be bothered with. There are 3 filters, two of them at the top of the dust cup assembly while the HEPA filter is above that in the handle part. All of the filters are easily washed to be reused over and over, just make sure they dry completely before putting them back in the vacuum. Shark did an incredible job developing this vacuum. I absolutely love it.

Great vacuum?
I got this vacuum because I wanted an expensive vacuum that I thought did everything. However, it wasn’t what zi thought it would be. Pros of this vacuum cleaner. It’s tall, it has accessories to use on furniture and the stairs. The top comes off and you can put into the bottom vacuum part which works well while cleaning the stairs. The suction is really good, and it is very sturdy. Cons of this vacuum cleaner. They put the wheels so close together that the vacuum doesn’t stand up by itself and falls over, which I have no idea who would design a vacuum like that. Especially when you have to keep stopping and either take the top off and lay it on the floor or lay the whole vacuum down. Very frustrating! And the dust collector is very small, so you have to constantly dump it out frequently. And they put the dust collector in back of the vacuum so you can’t even see it, to see if it’s full unless you look keep an eye on the back of the vacuum. The accessories are kind of hard to use because they don’t pivot around. I have a Shark Apex I got in 2021, which isn’t as advanced or have all the bells and whistles, but it stands up by itself and works really well and was much cheaper. I’ll keep the vacuum because it does help with cleaning the furniture and the stairs well, but I’ll use my cheaper one for most everyday use. It was on sale. If it was full price, not really worth the money.
