solanin Paperback – 19 April 2018

Solanin is one of those strange books that have to resonate with their readers. If it does, it is a masterpiece. If it doesn't, it is just a really good book. Either way, you won't be disapointed. This story is full o regret, boredom, and of the pain that is existing whithout purpose. It makes you feel dispair, loneliness and anguish alternated with hapiness and hope in a better tomorrow. It is a great story, a great book, a great manga, and all this for a great price. A must have for any manga lover. I'll be sure to follow Asano Inio's works carefully from now on.

Solanin arrived and I knew relatively little about what I was in for. I'd ordered it as the art looked interesting and I'd heard good things about the author. After trying to read just a little bit I ended up reading it cover to cover and missing out on a lot of sleep to do so, thank goodness for the coffee machine at work. Brilliant book and a relateable story make this a strange emotional roller-coaster.

great read. Asano is all about writing regular life struggles and relatable characters. This one is a Shoujo? i guess its about a relationship but also slice of life. Just a good book and youll enjoy it if you're a fan of Asano. The quality of this book is also really great and feels nice to hold and flip through the pages.

Unusual and enjoyable

I gave this a high rating because that's how I felt about the product and the service both. The packaging was done in thick cardboard and tightly bound to the book itself so it was very secure and sturdy, no room for edge blunting of the pages or corners and no scratching from friction. The book itself had a fresh, dry book smell so it felt like it just came from the printer. Small detail but it makes a big difference in the overall appreciation for the product. I would recommend this book. The story is brilliant, relatable, amazing character development, and the illustrations up the anti of what the dialogue already provides. Package arrived within the allotted dates, although dispatch felt a bit tardy compared to other retailers, but only by a day or two. Again, I would recommend this book, namely buying from this shop.

I think this graphic novel did a great job of capturing that moment when you're out of education, thrown into work, and not necessarily sure what to do with yourself. The art was pretty, and it was easy to tell who everyone was. Additionally, the plot took a few twists I didn't expect, and while it didn't necessarily end on a happy note, it was more a hopeful note, more of a comma than a full stop. You really got the sense that they were going somewhere, which was nice to see, and fit the themes well.

Came in great condition and a great read.

Always been a big fan of any work by Inio Asano, never disappoints. I'd highly recommend any of his manga.
