Seems like a great SSD
Ordered a few days ago to use as a secondary drive in my laptop. Honestly, it's perfect for me. Budget-friendly - you're not paying £75-80 for a 1TB Samsung, WD or SK hynix NVMe SSD, and you're also not navigating the minefield of dodgy yet cheap SSDs from brands like Fanxiang, Kingston, ADATA or Teamgroup. Decent warranty on it too - 5 years or 600TBW, which is great for what I'd call a budget SSD. You don't normally get that - avg for 1TB budget SSDs are around 200-300TBW. So hopefully the higher TBW rating should translate to better quality. Hopefully their customer service is decent in case I need to claim on the warranty. Fast and reliable too - so far, it's holding up great. Speeds are noticeably faster than my old SATA SSD, so it's all good there. Games run faster and are less "choppy" than they were, so that's a bonus. Not sure what else to put here except that it currently seems like a great SSD to get, definitely comparable to some of the Gen3 SSDs from Samsung, WD and SK hynix. Would certainly pick again instead of one from Kingston, Fanxiang, ADATA or any of the other no-name brands. If anything changes however, this review will be updated to reflect it.

Great 1tb SSD
Great SSD reasonably priced, I have put in my old laptop with an old mechanical har drive and it basically resurrected it, it loads everything instantly and it's a good size if you don't use tons of games in your set up, definitely recommended!

Excellent value Gen 3 NVMe - perfect for NAS cache
I bought this as I was looking for a cheap Gen 3 NVMe from a reliable brand to use as a read cache in my Synology DS1821+, and for 512GB at £29.99 (Feb 2025) this was just the ticket. It’s actually massively over-spec’d for my use case - you can’t get much lighter duty for an NVMe SSD than a read cache - and of course it’s handled the job effortlessly. It’s been running 24 hours a day with zero issues and has made day-to-day interactions with my NAS noticeably snappier over my 2.5Gb network. Excellent performance, no fuss, and unbeatable value for the price. Purchased February 2025 for £29.99.

NVME Drive stick module.
Great speed. Best of all very good price. Left it a few months to see how this module went. Can confirm easy to install. Drivers freely available but did not need as both linux and windows installed with no issues. Great nvme stick and excellent value.

Good value on offer, but maybe splash out the extra cash on something better
The ssd is good value for money if you get it on offer. However, it is not as fast as the smaller capacity ssd it replaced. I have noticed longer load times for applications and games. The ssd doesn't have built in RAM, so used a block of laptop ram - this is smaller allocation than other ssd's, which is probably the cause of the slower load times. It will be faster than older ssd. Another, slightly annoying fact is coil whine - there's quite a bit of it compared with my other ssd's. Going to use it as a backup drive in an external ssd caddy - it works, seems reliable enough. My advice, stick to Samsung, WD etc.

Fast and easy! 😀
Excellent SSD. Really fast, easy to install and machine is so much quicker. Cloned old hdd onto new ssd which is also really easy. It's like having a new computer without the hdd whine. Thanks so much.. 🙏

Working well with Linux
I bought this for my son's gaming laptop so we could install Linux on it and use that instead of Windows (now that the support for Windows 10 has ended and we don't want to use Windows 11). Acer is a respected manufacturer and this drive has got good reviews. I went with the 512GB size because that is twice what the Windows 10 drive has and getting something bigger did not seem worth it. Linux installed on the drive perfectly and my son has been using it for several weeks now with no problems. There may well be quicker drives out there, but this one is at least as fast as the one that was in the laptop originally and so plenty good enough as a replacement.

Not suitable as a being a clone (copy) of other M.2 drives - but ok as storage
It does the job, but be warned it has less than 2TB of space, well you might say that's always the case less capacity than the headline, but this has less than other 2TB M.2 SSD or least the ones I'm using, Was going to use as a clone for a M.2 as a system backup (recommended always!) on a new machine once all apps on etc. However the clone copier (just purchased a FIDECO on Amazon - its good) ) refused, saying not enough space, tried other 2T M.2 and they worked just fine. The capacity is just marginally less, but that's enough to stop a 1:1 clone. Possibly an intelligent clone would work, if it adjusted partition size marginally. But that's not what most (fast) hardware cloners do (or at least at a reasonable price). So yes great if you don't want to clone other disks on to it. Would I buy again? Possibly. but only as a data store, not as a medium for a backup cloned SSD.
