Replacement Upper Case Palmrest for Lenovo ideapad 3-15ITL6 3-15ADA6 3-15ALC6 Series Laptop with Backlit Keyboard with Touchpad Assembly Part 5CB1B65660, Gray

Some screw keepers on my original Ideapad 3 15ALC6 had broken out (particularly at the screen hinges), allowing the bottom cover and base to separate when opening/closing the lid. The replacement case arrived quickly, cautiously wrapped in plastic and padding, within in a durable cardboard box. It was a perfect replacement for the original and was exactly as pictured. It took less then an hour to transfer the motherboard and related components from the original into the new case. Use caution when disconnecting/connecting ribbon cables and note that 1 motherboard screw is hidden under a tiny round white Lenovo sticker. Everything fit perfectly but make sure to keep track of screws and there exact location for reassembly. If your existing case is missing any screws be sure to procure replacement pack before reassembly, as this product does not include them. Upon completion, all buttons, trackpad and keyboard backlights worked flawlessly.

This replacement worked perfectly. I bought grey to put on my sand colored laptop. I now have a custom computer with working (backlit) keys and touchpad. Love it!

Perfect for our laptop. We tried another part on amazon, did not work. This one was the one we needed for our Lenovo.

**Updated** The part appeared fine upon delivery, but after installation and much troubleshooting on the physical end of things, the touch pad simply would not work. Lo and behold, after performing a Windows update, suddenly it did. It must have needed a driver, which I was not expecting based previous research. Lesson learned, and hopefully others may benefit from the information. I've taken off a star because (and maybe this is Lenovo's fault more than anyone else's) the part does not include the power button. It totally should include the power button. Let me tell you, salvaging the original power button wasn't nearly as easy as it should have been. A soldering iron is needed to do it properly, but I found that with a little luck it could be improvised without. Obviously there is hardly a guarantee that the improvised fix I was forced to do will last. This is a fairly significant knock in the minus column if you're already on the fence about attempting to repair your own laptop. Still, it's a good functional part, so 4 stars.

High-quality genuine OEM part. HOWEVER... as other reviews have mentioned, it does NOT include the Power button. Transplanting the old power button was a real PITA, because it's heat-welded ("mushroomed") onto 3 tiny plastic posts. I was able to remove it by carefully slicing off the "mushroom tops" with an X-acto knife and then gently prying it off. Then, to install it in the new palmrest assembly, I used a toothpick to apply a tiny blob of two-part epoxy on the top of each post to hold it in place (SEE PICTURE).

The part ordered fit my laptop perfectly, and was well worth the wait!
